Additional menu icons not showing proper state. in Skinning WinCustomize Forums

I'm trying out the additional menu icons for the first time. I need them to closely emulate the default windows 8 menus as closely as possible and have run into an issue. The "states" aren't showing correctly (or as directed in the help section of sks). Only the radio box shows. Not the check boxes. The issue is illustrated here in this screeny:

Finally getting some more done on this: On the left, Native Windows 8. On the right, WB version on Windows 7. I can see that I need to make the titlebar font a bit larger and the buttons need to pop down a pixel.

Since it's been over a month since the issue was first addressed, it's not unreasonable to ask about progress.......even on a Sunday .
