maxAccelerationLinear 100.000000 maxAccelerationStrafe 10.000000 maxDecelerationLinear 500.000000 I'm going to see what happens when you equalize acceleration and deceleration... cant wait. Uhh, they will accelerate and decelerate at equal speeds??? You know 'brake' and 'go faster' at the same rate.... I think that it is a lua-based script la

I disagree, making one build more research station is far better. When I'm managing an empire of over 40 or so planets, i don't want to be worring about "is my one research station level 3 yet?" Just make three of them. I'm perfectly happy the way it is, this way, the focus is on what topic you pick, not how you get there.
actually it does apply to all space after all sol is in orbit around the center of the galaxy right You do realise that the galactic core is about 2.45 × 10^17 km away right? at an aproximate weight of 4.0 × 10^26 kg, and putting the weight of a man at 100 kg. he experiences a force of 6.67×10^−11 * (4*10^26 * 100) / (2.45 × 10^20) or a grand total of 0.01 Newton of gravita
Basically, I can fire a machinegun at a battleship (or a tank for that matter) all day long and not kill it. The armor is simply too thick for a machinegun bullet to do any damage. I need an anti-tank weapon or a cruise missile agreed, however it seems that this is not the case in sins. A swarm of scouts can take down a battleship quite easily. Bombers should be capable of knocking out a battle very well (compare to a torpedo boat irl) <di
indeed, a better location for active effects would be inside the unit icon (middle bottom).
[quote]I was PO big time so I sent 3 battleships and I KNEW they would do the job. Guess what??? TOAST!!! They ALL kept shooting at the damn mines while the then 10 scouts scouts cut them down. I was so angry I slammed my keyboard and it cost well over $150!!! That has to change or it is a deal breaker. We must have a priority target system that the player can select.[quote] calm down dude...beta1 remember? The targetting is allready being adressed. <div class="Article_Quo
I suggest making this a FAQ. Not that I know much about modding, just my two cents.
Yes, he's not your grandma...He's just acting like her. But not always, just when you least expect it. Would you like to know more Little experiment, from now on, all my posts will contain the above, linking to some 'usefull' location
objects = (Number of planets * rough guess of average number of objects around planets) + Your number of ships + rough guess of number of enemy ships.
isent that called the big bang... dunno, but that's what you get when 175 kg of matter turns to energy.
I disagree with spartan, while I do feel that at least the TEC should have techs for getting better output out of the black markter, the idea of stopping someone is not right for the game. Selling ships however would be nice, especially if they go to a pool where other players (or yourself) can buy them from. You could get higher returns from BM sales, but your opponent might buy the ships cheap to. 2: Add a second option to convert 500 (example
well, I've tried some stuff with the fighters, but it seems that simply doubling the number of fighter, while cutting firepower and HP in half does not make it balanced...
I like to think of them as the 2 cowboys from Brokeback Mountain... What happens on the forums stays in the forums! If only we had sigs....... Of course, we all know that if Schem and Emp were ever to touch, the two would instantly anihilate eachother and cause an explosion in the exaj
The probe travels at 36,260.7373 mph once it reaches top speed, which takes some time. Acceleration of 290 Meters per second. 290 meter per second SQUARED is not a very pleasant feeling. I believe the proper term for a crew aboard a ship like that would be "ketchup" What about Nuclear Pulse Propulsion Hizaed? For the weight of a dozen nukes and blast and rad shields, you can haul up one mean mother of a
4)the race diplomacy seems to be a non event - alliance etc seem to be of no consequence - A1 players break treaties to attack to claim bounty then imediately after ask for a new agreement. Heck, I ignore all the factions now (8 hours into a game) and it doesn't seem to matter much. I'm still waiting for my demise as the factions keep telling me I'm about to fall and/or will regret not taking them
Suggest the standard helpdesk-Dunno-what's-causing-it solution. Reinstal the game and see if that works..... Of course, the best solution is to keep playing
Toka above is correct, The rebellion tended to use more specialised ships, as did the new republic and the GFFA. The empire and the Old republic used pretty much big-ass, cram-every-needed-function-in-it ships. small correction though, The victory I was a Missle carrier , designed for stand-off engements... For tokakeke's reference: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grand_Mof
I think they're indicators of the Akkan's range extending ability being active on that ship....
More importantly, it's not a matter of realism as it is a matter of authenticity. Sticking a bunch of planets in a big cloud and linking them with cute little lines might make it easy from a gameplay perspective but it makes it lame from an authentic standpoint. ...SNIP... Basically, it should look like I'm managing a solar empire, not a bunch of circles linked by lines that generate numbers which let me make more ships. <br/
where's a camera when you need one.... oh well, have to make due with a phonecam shot of my in front of my closet, 10 minutes ago.... That blank stare and lack of shaving are due to it being 23:30 and I've just been stuck in a train for FIVE ******* HOURS... oh well....not like I can dig myself a deeper hole anyway.
With Schem and Emp here, you'd almost forget the rest of us old timers (Get offa ma lawn!) here, who don't have a post rating of 12 bazillion...
Tried it as well, on a 2gb, 2*1.6Ghz machine, It LIVES... for a while. Started to clot up immediatly, then froze (Responsiveness of about 20 seconds)
indeed, never had the problem....very odd... maybe kosc's advice will help, but it's doubtfull.
seconded with strat above. However, some intelligence of when to use the abilities would be nice of the AI. As it is, Kol use their shield and flak ability as soon as they jump in, intead of in battle.
I still think double clicking to select all ships of similar type On-Screen is a really usefull feature when managing a battle. I agree the stacking thing is A Good Thing(tm), but I don't always want to select all ships around the whole planet. Besides, Doubleclicking is an intuitive control. EDIT: ps, Sins forums + Opera + Vista = HELL
