There is an issue with non-english versions of windows not using the proper font, instead using a default one that is larger. This is likely what you're experiencing. just to be nitpicky, It also happened in my english version of windows. But indeed, problem solved today.

Couldn't reproduce the problem with a short gameing session. Will try a longer one now.
just keep trying, might still land that next Big Thing (tm)
uhhh, down here in Holland, we Always get good friday off.... and thank Slaanesh that it's going to be nice and sunny.
I believe matty_p will agree with me that one can only say [link="http://itsatrap.ytmnd.com/"]one thing/link] about the girl in that clip multi.
ony is the next Trek movie is going to be set in the TOS era as well AFAIK Aledgedly... Also, looking at those graphics, I can hear my moaning allready. You really need some lower graphics as well to pull of a hundred ship fleet.
True, but I agree that having only 3 real fighting frigates is a bit sad. (where the siege frigate is really sucky)
A setting in the first Cylon war would be unique. However we do not know what the cylon ships looked like back then. [/quote] Which is a Good Thing(tm) You can make them up as well, have your pick between the new Double, three pointed star, or the old diabolo shaped basestars etc. [quote} And if you guys haven't heard, their will be a Battlestar Galactica game for the 360 and PC. Space combat simulator.
Does this mean your going to the darkside Alcari? Going? oh ah...yes... going Of course Not, i mean "of course not". yeah, that's it. Where would you get an idea like that? Where did that come from? Dunno. Neither do I know when religion became a proper basis for economic models. Besides, I recomend Despotism
That coming from the only grand admiral who managed to screw up, despite having a huge load of sparti cloning vats, 180-something FREE dreadnoughts, his own jedi master, a lot of cloaking devises (which the fool strapped to asteroids). While controlling half of the galaxy. How did this man fall? He allowed his own bodyguard to stab him in the back. Grand admiral? bantha fodder is more like it. Piett was twice the man Thrawn is. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/
indeed, I vote we officially refer to that orange button as " The Great Button of Mystery "
I'm still not getting it. Let me see if this is right: - If the culture of all planets around one sun reaches a certain point (asuming, X more then opponent) then ALL FOW is removed around all planets of system - Culture increases tax income from the planet where it is generated Leaves me with the following questions: - seeing how Culture is represented as a rating when selecting a planet (bottom left, the red thing) It seems as though it is some kind of cumul
The reason they were taken out is actually pretty simple, its a game, not a simulation. As much as we wanted these elements, they just weren't fun. Sorry, just needed repeating. The battles usually are pretty spaced out (hahah...) In my games, but the large ship icons can sometimes make it seem as though you can spit from one ship to the other (arguably, you can in space)
OMG!!!!1111!!!one! I never thought of it. I guess they just all hold it until they get blown up, or you win, at which point every ship makes an emergency landing behind the nearest tree.
THERE SHALL BE FEAR You have much to learn still, young aprentice. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hatred leads to power. Power leads to victory. so I say, bring on your fear, bring your best to face my wrath. Show me what you regard as your greatest strength, so I will know best what to undermine you. Show me what you crave, so that I might deny you. Now in the na
True, there is a pretty big difference between getting resources and credits. I frequently run HUGE surplesses in crystal and metal, while having no credits at all. It'd be nice if this were tweaked a bit, or perhaps if Shift-clicking in the trade screen sold 500 or 1000 resources. Speaking of the trade window, sometimes i click five times, and it sells 600 of a resource.
I have to hand it to the Dev team for their perfect use of metaphoric symbolism. Yes, i'm just loving the subtle insinuation here Cant wait to see Mutlianna fight against Alcari in the multiplayer beta. Indeed, some revenge-taking needs to be done here. My retribution will be
just noticed.....
Well, didn't see a thread on this, but a lot of comments in other threads. Here's what i think about the fighters and bombers 1 - The carrier need fewer guns and more slots. While it's nice at high level (6) the two fighters it can hold are rather sad. 2 - Fighters don't seem to prioritise bombers, or are very bad at it 3 - bombers are FAR to strong. They're very difficult to destroy without flak bursts (inta kill) 4 - when ordered to dock, the display rea
It's sandbox mode. It will probably be changed, but they made it that way to give you the option to explore the game
"hey look, there's more ships, lets go thatsway"
has anyone seen my planet yet?
*reads thread* uhhhh.... *tears hair out of confusion*
Had a wierd bug today, where the game would start, but minimized and maximized about three of four times when the intro should have come up. That still played though. Haven't been able to reproduce the error. Dell inspiron 6400 laptop. Windows vista Intel T2500, 1ghz dualcore (total of 2ghz) 2gb ram radeon X1600
When you recieve a message like "Your fleet has reached [system]" or "[shipname] has reached level X" Maybe you could make the system in question blink on the empire tree or something, becuase in a bigger game, i can't keep track of which system is where, except for the few i fortified or have shipyards in. also, the exclamation mark in "Pirates!" look really cheesy Third point, the messag
