thats if its not an overarching problem. if it is then it wont last that long. voices are muted when the majority arent in the same position. if the space programs were to be run by companies, the majority would be the opressed.

(so are we gona have like a quotes battle or something) to the death! I'm getting you, but can you get some raid, or a knife, or something!

I think some people are misunderstanding the concept of the game (who knows, maybe its me?) well either way, the idea of the game is to not dabble in the small details (such as small skirmishes) when bigger, more important logistics need tending to. of course its a good idea to fight the big battles, but I think they created the skirmishing AI well enough to handle periferals.

money crystal and metal? is taht it? sounds about right to me... anyway the advent use crystals emp. (or diamonds, or w/e)

Yea... but a small gun might not do that well against a frigate, thats the earliest class i think. something enough to avoid early harasment. As players always find ways of screwing with stuff up that wasn't intended.

which works for me. because companies are just the same as governments, they require people to work. and people (from our country at least) aren't willing to be stepped on for someone else's profit.

metal, crystal and... well I dont know the last one. but I know the advent's primary is crystal so some basic assumptions can be placed off that.

I dont quite think you mean exaggeration... but either way, like I said. Now is what matters, not 20+ years in the future, by then the country that reaches the space age will already have progressed far ahead of the others.

thats the point. it has no merits whatsoever. its not a scientific theorey, its just super-evangelicals trying to find some way to reinstitute a christian based regime in America.

Darwin was not the first with the idea really? this is news to me. who was it? but thats sounds very...questionable. its plain out bs. its got no supporting evidence whatsoever. to say god rul

they are however disorgainzed. I wouldnt if this wasnt a problem. but the chances them putting asside their sociopolitical (dont get me started on cultural) differences? unlikely.

In my opinion well be pushed together out of need, rather than want. Space will just be a grossly oversized caracature of what the west was to the United states. a massive frontier with unimaginable resources and expansion, open to pretty much the first pioneers and almost no one else. thats why I'm so pro-America space project etc. it would irr

Well at least our world has finally settled on the fact that Evolution is true. It took us what, 200 years two points, 1) haven't you ever heard of the intelligent design theorey? damn, I hate radical religious folks... 2) it's been about 150 years exactly (since publication), not 200 but this is just me being nitpicky.

I like the idea of a pseudo combination of the two. besides, screw the lack of realism in space pressure-waves, I just want to stare at awesome stuff! ! !

Right now I'm aiming for a Core 2 Duo, 2GB DDR3 RAM (maybe 4GB), 1TB HD space (2 HD - 1 for boot, the other for everything else); GeForce 8800 GTX 768MB, Sound Blaster X-Fi (already own). It'll all depend on what tech's available at the time. I'm willing to wait for the new PCI-E spec boards to come out, for DDR3 RAM, and for the faster FSB motherboards.

Hopefully the politicians arent stupid enough to mess it up by competing over land and such and so we see the spawn of bad governments no, you cant hope for that. it'll only fail. miserably.

I don't think that is right. I have heard Blair say over and over that the game environment is totally continuous. the zooming is, but not the map. otherwise STL modes of travel would be possible (and that would require a rediculous amount of programming, could you immagine the coordinates on the things?)
