Would you care to be more specific ?
Oh absolutely :) I really miss the focus on the heroes units (cap ships). What ever happened after release im not 100% sure about, but they dont feel as important anymore. In beta 4 the first cap ships was really important, really powerful and with a few frigats it was alot of fun. The gameplay video from beta 3 and 4 shows this. The new Empire tree, i dont like it at all, i miss all the planets/asteroid that was on th
Second: is it me, or is that just a really overly hidden, complex, silly place to put that stuff
i totally agree with you, but its required to get the "Games for Windows" logo (:( so nothing IC/SD can do about it
If you could re-make Sins, how would you?
make it like beta 4 :D Had so many good times back then, and the final release is not really me. Not to say the game is bad, i just dont like the way the game have ended up being after gold. Thats my opinion :)

im confused... i never would have believed that Zoomba actually did some real work  Awesome podcast guys, but im one of those kinda guys that are not too familiar with the other products from Stardock other then the gaming side. Also im not much of a install this and that, so to convince me to see some of the stuff you guys are talking about maybe you guys could do the voice stuff as you do now, and after you recorded it, add voice to some sorta of video/slideshow that shows
more discriminating evidence have been revealed...
How do you actually go about doing something like this?
just edited the scout of the vasari: 0,000001 build time 0 metal 0 crystal 0 credits 0 fleet supply and i just start building them :)
How slow does your machine get at the various levels?

Is it playable with 10k ships on a good system?
it depends if there are moving ships or shooting. If 10k ships are shooting then you can sorta say its like havin

savegames have been added, run them at your own risk :p Also expect to have load times of 5-10min on the 20k+ ship savegames hehe
The UI fps problem was well known under the beta, but was fixed either by driver or game code, i dont really remember by what and when, but it doesn't seem to have that huge effect on my machine anymore. Now that im doing the game engine test with the 32k+ ships i need to remove the UI to gain a huge fps increase, which i can understand to a degree, just find it weird the UI takes that much resources.. Also its weird that some of you have the problem with only a few ships..<br/
updated to 32,029+ ships :d savegames will be comming soon, with different amount of units like: 1000, 5000, 7000, 10000 and so on up to 32,000 ships.
Your welcome, happy that you got it working :D
i dont have a fps problem unless we start talking about 20k+ ships. Try pressing ctrl+shift+z and see what happens. That might help :)
So far I'm not so sure if this card is even semi-bad ass!
i believe it will once the drivers gets better :) I just hope it runs dx10 better then mine, as almost all dx10 games gives me a driver have failed and tries to recover, then the screen flickers a few times and then BSOD.
but thanks for the suggestion.
your welcome :) ive been through the same thing, so i know your pain.. you tried other drivers? theres a new 174.85 beta driver a
Can you run Sins or other games at stock speed, without problems i mean? If not, then id say wait for another driver, since i dont believe under clocking from stock speeds will help. I had lots of problems with the 8800GTX when it just came out, as the drivers were not working correctly. So i suspect the same for all the newest hardware (:( Btw, is it a SLI motherboard you have? If you do, make sure its put in the first slot (closest to the CPU). Because i had millions of B
yeah it sounds really strange... im using a 8800GTX with the same specs more or less, and it runs fine with no lag. Maybe its a driver issuse? :NOTSURE:
awesome news!!! :D
cscoles what ever your problem is all of a sudden, just let it go or you will be banned for misbehaving.
i added a few more screens to the 27,388 ships :) im moving the ships to an desert planet so we can get a better view of them. A star is waay to big to cover :p
updated to 27,388 ships!!! more screens will come abit later. It seems patch 1.04 dont like fraps much, as it crashes the game from time to time.
Multianna: "A thousand nations of the Vasari Empire descend upon you! Our Navigators will blot out the sun!" AI: "Ten we shall fight in the shade!"
lol awesome :D
a 1000 scouts took out the AI The circle of death
actually i killed the AI so it wouldn't take any processing power ;p
ooh i thought cscoles was Kruelgor :p oh well, yeah people upload replays there from time to time. I guess most use the main site instead
updated to 16,883+ ships :d yeah its really impressive. I can see that it have been optimized ALOT since beta 3, so i expect to reach 30k hehe
