Sins of a Solar Empire's Ironclad Games Sets New Legal Precedent for Video Game Trademarks Over two years ago we embarked on an adventure that led us to stand up against a much larger company, fight for freedom of expression and ultimately set a new legal precedent. We had hoped to never talk about this publicly however recent events have convinced us that it might help our ongoing business, other developers, and the community as a whole to share some of our
It aseems Ironclad went under with Sins of a dark age, support doesnt reply, updates and forum activity is scarce, most interesting commander mode was scrapped, partner that was charging supporters went away... I surely hope they'll return home to Sins2...ASAP.
Hmm, we most definitely have not gone under. We've been very busy with Sins of a Solar Empire material and Sins of a Dark Age materi

Ok, I've dug into it enough to know that it has to be fixed and I will likely fix it this weekend. It also uncovered a more serious bug where all the moveAreaRadius and hyperspaceExitRadius are the same for all stars and for all planets under many conditions. The design of the tactical and strategic elements of Sins maps rely on those varying - esp in light of some of the new stuff coming. Thanks for pushing on this guys.

Hi Sinners, Lots of new faces here that probably don't know me because I've been busy behind the scenes on both new Sins of a Solar Empire stuff and Sins of a Dark Age but I'm one of the creators of Sins and a co-owner of Ironclad. Anyways I have a favor to ask! When we launched Sins of a Solar Empire back in 2008 we caught the attention of a guy named Emil Larsen who wrote to me about how inspired he was by Sins that he wanted to make an epic space strategy board
All this talk of balance is USELESS. Just face it: The devs don't give one shit about Rebellion anymore. You heard blair yesterday; they would rather keep all their cool new toys and improvements for a sequel rather than improving this one.
When did I say that? I suspect you are drastically misquoting and misinterpreting my statement in this thread: <a href="https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/447481/page/1/#33888

I only sacrifice high population planets to maximize the damage. That is why I keep colony ships on standby to refuel my planet bomb. Goa, you are correct. It was a bug that you could hold on to your planet after Wail via Starbase.

Its true we have gotten a lot of praise over the user interface so I'm surprised to read this - HOWEVER - it is true that is could use some more love. I have a big list of improvements I'd like to implement but they will likely have to wait for a sequel. I have plans to completely redesign the empire tree for example. Watching how other people play it on youtube over the last few years (yes I watch many of the 'let's play' type videos) has really helped me see how its bein

Haha we were *this* close to bidding as well. Ironclad had all the legal ducks in a row but I bailed when I found out Homeworld: Cataclysm wasn't part of the auction (which part of our team had a hand in creating). Congrats to Gearbox! Looking forward to a Homeworld 3! Blair
