What is being done with Mercenaries for mid to late game?
And if ya'll ever implement Sector Lines as a User Preference setting to make it easier to digest large scale maps in any way shape or form similar to GC II I'll be estatic.
This seems very problematic in a hex environment, although I do miss them too...
First off Frogboy, thank you for taking the time to reply to us :)
That seems unfair given the work done from 1.0 to 1.6 already.
This was how Mercenaries feedback by the community has been brought up. Not about other updates prior. Some main concerns brought up through the beta process of Mercenaries that may have been able to be addressed had there been a longer beta process are as follows <u
Okay first off the ships are taking direct routes to where you are trying to get the red line doesn't go through tiles it skips tiles, ships can not skip tiles, the yellow lines go from tile to tile in the most direct path. Ships can only move where edges of tiles connect, not where corners of tiles connect.
I think the general feeling here as a community is even though Mercenaries is decent, and has it's great things about it, it seems like you're failing to listen to our expressed concerns we have brought up both through the beta process of Mercenaries and now after. Instead we get don't trash my game and because of this no more of this... I don't think anyone here really is telling you that your game sucks and they don't enjoy the game, okay maybe one or two.
Thanks. Hey, are we related? There aren't that many Wardells around (my last name is Wardell).
That doesn't count lol, j/k. On a side note I have thought about my stance on no review right now and will be putting up a positive review shortly. I still feel things maybe a little weak as well but, you guys deserve it. Way to go!
Dear Stardock, First off, this is a general letter from a fan to a great company in respecting it's customers and frequent shoppers. I don't expect anything and, hope you don't see any part of this as a trash on any person or personally. I apologize in advance should anything be taken incorrect and would be happy to discuss anything in private if clarification is needed. No Free Content Expected
I think this thread makes the case that free updates that add features has to come to an end. We don't get any credit for that.
First off I always give credit for you as a company for doing what is right, and if you look at my review for the game I put that in there for that. (Hoping the larger bugs get fixed soon :) ).
We'll do version 1
I see that there is a new DLC. But, patch after patch, I see nothing about founders' stars, and wait for something special about it. Does it get something special?
Just another star in the galaxy of many stars, still haven't seen mine in any game I've played.
By instance, if I colonize the planets around it, do I have a bonus? Or a special planet distribution / set up ?
No special bonus's or pl
Is hiring a mercenary a lifetime contract? Contracts should be able to expire, and if unrenewed, the mercenary should become available for hire once again.
Once they are hired, they are under contract forever until death do you part :)
Do new mercenaries appear over time, or are the mercenaries at the start of the game the only mercenaries that will ever appear?<
I personally can't recommend it, Brad. I'm sorry.
Feels to me like 3 DLC's for the cost of 4, Torian faction 1 DLC Arcean faction 1 DLC Mercenaries DLC (there might be a little more here but, right now as it sits they are done by mid game.) I'm split myself at this time I'm not putting in a review as I don't have anything horrible to say about it but, I don't
Those should be fine.
Thank you I found it in a section labeled as required DLC's
When creating new custom factions using the Torian/Arceans or even the Snathi is there something within Steam to let players know that these factions will only work if they have the expansion or DLC content?
I've seen this as well, however, only if they have the same name. Simply change the file name to Portrait001 in the LeaderFG's folder and Portrait0001 in Portrait folder.
I've noticed this as well, occational asteroids now seem abundant, they are all over the place almost wrapping around the stars. I don't know where but, it has. Also seems like they've been fudging planet generation again since the first 1.6 as they seem to be back lower, and I was happy with the way it was in 1.6A. Oh well, asteroids are broken though...
1.6 game unable to continue crash between turns upon every attempt. added information to ticket. Issue is ongoing with larger games still haven't completed one game... This is disappointing to say the least. This far along after release there should be no reason why 95% of the games I have started I've gotten to this point and am unable to continue do to crashes even upon reloading the saved games.
Found the cause of this and it's not an issue. when adding sensor range or life support distance or additional moves it appears as it's just applying 1 100 credit, however, the actual gain for the anomaly is the sensor/range/moves and the 100 credits are extra...
FIRST!!! This is awesome can't wait.
Playing a multiplayer game this evening and the Iridium declared war on the other human player. A few turns later that human player proposed the influence agenda. The Iridium then voted for that player to get the influence boost? Why would someone at war with another player want to bump their influence? Please explain. Yet another situation that doesn't make sense on why the AI is doing something.
I have to report that it does indeed add 100 credits to a precursor relic. The relic popup gave the relic bonus and its credits and the 100 credit bonus for Ysengard was also listed.
Yeah it does apply the extra 100 credits to regular anomalies as well as precursor relics, however, there are random one offs that for whatever reason don't add the extra I've seen it twice to this point. Because it'
As it is now, people buying the DLC will be unhappy to rarely encounter a PC relic.
It's all a balancing thing, Stardock just needs to find the happy medium and they'll get there :)
If that's the case I'm not sure how well known that rule is. It definitely isn't well policed. Nor have I seen it be an issue on Steam before either. I really don't recall it ever coming up here. I've far from read every thread, so maybe it did multiple times and I've just missed it
That may be, either way I think the OP was just expressing his frustration and hope m
To be fair until a week ago there was never any mention Founders weren't allowed to talk about the game publicly.
Founders were always to talk about pre-release content in the founders portion of the forum. Post release can be whereever. This was designed to help keep our comments on how it can be improved/issues/bugs can be talked about openly in the founders forum where the unfinished parts of the gam
Perhaps then Stardock would be accused of censorship... he paid $100 for the game he's entitled to an opinion. Stardock hasn't asked anyone to sign an nda it would seem they can take a bit of criticism especially if it's merited which I'm not saying it is or isn't.
No one is accusing of censorship, He's just stating there is a time and place for this type of post. The time in this for
