Thought I'd give OD Plus another try since I lost my registration for Winstep xtreme.... Looks like I'll just have to break down and purchase another key from Winstep...
Err, send me an email to Winstep support then! No need to buy another license key, I'll just re-send your old key. [e digicons]:sun:[/e]

Doc, you are aware than you can shorten the space between icons in the Nexus dock by opening the Dock Properties dialog -> Appearance -> Icon Spacing? Also, change the style of the Weather module to 'Style 2' - I think you will thank me for it, the new default weather icons are nothing short of amazing. [e digicons]|-)[/e] Finally, to change Ethan's style, open WorkShelf Preferences and... just kidding! Gorgeous baby. [e digicons]^_^[/e]
Winstep, for instance, is also unable to offer access to older versions - unfortunately this would be unpracticable. It's the user's responsability to backup the setup file for the applications he downloaded. I think the only problem here is that he can't make proper backups of his applications. To come up with another example, supose I'm running a 32 bit version of Windows and I download and backup a 32 bit specific version of an application. If
And this is what happens because this forums don't have a 'watch this topic' or 'send notifications of new replies by email'. [e digicons]>:([/e] Still having this problem? Open the General tab of NextSTART Preferences and make sure 'Run NextSTART at Windows startup' is enabled.
what I mean is the dock still opens to the right which makes it not able to have by the right edge cause when opening, all but the Control icon goes off edge
Ah, good catch! I was thinking that perhaps I could solve that quickly by making Nexus evaluate the distance from both edges and then expand into whichever direction has more room (a bit like the sub-docks do) but for this to work properly the Nexus
Sorry guys, having only one dock per screen edge is indeed a limitation that is going to be removed in the next release of Nexus Ultimate/Winstep Xtreme (which, if it's any consolation, will also feature optional horizontal sub-docks, a native Stacks applet, and the ability to have the dock mimic the "superbar" ability of Windows 7 - which the NextSTART component already does for a long time, by the way - with animated group thumbnails, aero peek, etc...). Just watch this
And you also have some cool 'Media' Internal Commands which you can add to a dock or Shelf and use to control WinAmp/Windows Media Player. Other internal commands can power off your monitors, or start your screen saver on demand, open/close your CD-ROM doors (how lazy can you get?!), clear your Recent Documents list, etc... there are a lot of them, some more useful than others. See what you've been missing all this time for being so difficult? And that wasn't too painful, was it? hehe [e digicons]:P[/e]
I think DrJBHL is right, Jafo. Sorry. [e digicons]:([/e]
I had seen this over there and got it as well. Looks interesting, but...
Ah, inertia... Amazing how resistent to change people are. If you got it already, don't just 'look' at it... try it! [e digicons]|-)[/e]
Kind of normal, as Nexus, Nexus Ultimate, WorkShelf and NextSTART are all sub-sets of Winstep Xtreme. It's still amazing the alternate names people come up with: Nexus Xtreme, Xtreme Ultimate, Winstep Ultimate, Winshelf, Nextstep. Makes providing support for those products just a little bit more difficult, as you have to figure out what they are *actually* running, hehe. [e digicons]|-)[/e]
And it's over! [e digicons]|-)[/e] Congratulations to all those who took advantage of this fabulous offer. [e digicons][/e]

This is what the word 'free' does: it warps people's minds and makes them actually expect 'free' to be the norm rather than the exception. [e digicons][/e] Blah. After this I'll probably in
True, Jafo, but I remember reading somewhere that the Windows Experience Index was supposed to remain the same between Vista and Windows 7 (i.e.; in 7 they just increased the maximum score to catter for newer/faster machines). Of course, I never put this to the test, so...
You mean from the free Nexus version or from the Nexus Ultimate version you download from Giveaway of the Day? If the latter, you'll have to follow the instructions on the README file to register Nexus Ultimate first. Once it's registered, an 'Upgrade to Xtreme' button will appear in the About tab of Nexus Ultimate Preferences.
Just a quick reminder you still have 10 hours to get Nexus Ultimate for free - GAOTD users seem to be loving it (most software gets horrible ratings there, Nexus Ultimate, on the other hand, has 74% of thumbs up). Remember, this is a one-time thing only. It will probably never happen again.
Believe it or not, a handful of people had trouble entering the serial number (!). At least for those, the emailed serial was very useful indeed. Anyway, the bottom line of what I am saying is that you can trust Winstep with your email address (I *hate* spam as much as the next person, probably more as I get thousands of it every day, as you can probably imagine!) . Now, whether you actually decide to or not, it really is up to you. [e digicons]:)[/e]
Nothing personal here, I refused to "sign up" with TWC along with other "free" sites, Make it free without the "sign me up for who knows what database and mailing list" and I'm in.
From the Winstep's Purchase FAQ: Q) Will you ever give or sell my email address to 3rd parties? A) Absolutely NOT! We do not give out any customer information to anyone at any time. <h
To all those upgrading to Winstep Xtreme: Please don’t forget to uninstall Nexus Ultimate first. Since both programs share the same folder structures, themes, etc, (only the executables and some themes are different), you will corrupt your Winstep Xtreme installation if you try to uninstall later. This said, if you have already installed Xtreme on top of Nexus Ultimate, this is very easy to sort: 1. Make sure Nexus Ultimate is not running (exit it if it is).
Is that a rethorical question, Philly? [e digicons][/e]
