Nice! :CONGRAT: I can't figure how to keep from going into the red before the research is done though... any advice?
FireBender
Fall from Grace is good too.
Haha, congrats guys. With the way the submissions were going I was actually thinking the A-team would win. Well, good job anyhow. A sincere apology on behalf of Team C for not being there to give you any real competition. ;)
Doh! I meant Ferrel. lol
Oh well, we'll still pwn you in Season 3. Enjoy your luck. ;) I'm still itching to see who pulled ahead though... EDIT(yey, it works): I might be unavailable for the next two weeks so I'm naming Ferral as the captain till then. There was such a thing as a franchise player, right?
(can't edit) Ignore above post.
Darn it, I didn't get my game completed. That leaves Team C at 2 out of 6 submissions... I could finish this game today and submit it. Its a bit much to ask, I know, but can the round be extended for one more day?
People have submitted a win of the wrong type or even a loss in these situations. It generally doesn't help the team much but it does give you brownie points for character.
Mmmm, brownies...
Very nice submissions. I've got a little something up my sleeve too... lets hope it doesn't disappoint my expectations... or yours. Also, I've heard absolutely nothing from Elwood whatsoever since last round but I do believe he's been playing the core trivia game. Idazen mentioned that he completed a game but he hasn't submitted it to the meta yet. Still waiting to hear back from him. Though if he doesn't submit soon, Team C will be down 1 victory condition. Amalric also informed that h
I dunno. I like the break better. Hmmm, how about holding the draft after the Bonus round?
I haven't heard from Elwood since last round.
i'm just a little confused! am i in round 8? and what are the settings and stuff? -Dave
[link="https://forums.galciv2.com/306285/page/6"]MVL Round 8[/link]. But remember though, you can submit as many games with those settings as you like in the metaverse but only one game to the MVL. Victory condition would assigned to you by your captain.
Care to share your method, Kzinti? I still can't get past 30K.
Forums are being a bit slower then usual, wouldn't ya say? It took me like 1 whole minute to load this thread.
He figures thats all his team could manage at the very utmost... with divine intervention of course. Either that, or he's drunk a bit more then usual. Whichever works.
Thereby provoking a Civil War!!
My 3 votes to that. ;)
Pick the Thalans as your race, select the Federalists party and devote 4 ability points to economy. That's a 75% bonus. Equivalent to 3 stock exchanges on each of colonies from turn one(affects all other forms of income too). If you use ARC(advanced race customization), then you can really take advantage of this by using Super Breeder.
All ur w0rldz r b3long t0 me!
to say that the the AI in galciv 2 is better than SE 5 due to the fact that in Galciv 2, the AI only makes limiting choice where as the AI in SE 5 can not be as good as Galciv 2 because SE 5's AI have to make more in choices per turn is just a silly comparison and argument all together.
I concur. It's the simple complexity of the game that is so fun.
The worst thing about SE 5 is the turn times. With only 5 empires, after about 100 turns, you can be looking at several minute turn times.
With enough micro-management on your hands, you can have a turn time in GCII upto about 3 hours. :) I know I once spent that much on a single turn(spread out over 4 days though). I'm having trouble with their password too...
i found their private threads...now i just need the password!
What a co-in-ki-dink... ;)
Hey Dave, welcome to da league. Silver will be along to assign you to a team soon enough. If you're lucky, maybe you'll even get in Team C.
Could you give me a little more detailed instructions on how to reproduce this? I'm not exactly following you.
Sure thing. :) Select any opponent AI's planet and go into the domestic policy screen without un-selecting that planet. Adjust any slider in the economic management window and if you look at the UI, you will see that that world's buildbar(little bar at the bottom that tells which ship is being built and how long) will show how many turns left unt
Umm, not sure if this is still in TA but there's a bug(exploit, really) that I've noticed that is present in both DL and DA. Since I don't have TA, I can't check. If you click an AI's planet and go into the domestic policy screen and adjust any slider, you can see that planet's buildbar and adjust your strategy accordingly.
