Super Project doesn't equal Galactic Wonder. Super projects are a "Once Per Race" while Galactic Wonders are "Once Per Galaxy". That Super Spy Training center is in the same boat as the capital buildings.

The only answer I can field is the second one (and I refuse to answer the third due to wording...and I'm an American). The productivity slider is showing how hard the people are working in general. The Military/Social/Research sliders just say where they are working.
question how does the terror star survive the super nova
...and not a "Laser I" mounted on a 4 cylinder ship.
Perhaps at the top of this screen click on "My Account" and then go over to the "Registrations" tab.
No fix that I know of yet. Tomorrow should be another beta release and hopefully the fix is in there. I know people have sent in savegames and debug.err on this issue.
It was like that in past versions of GalCiv. I'm quite unimaginative in my ship naming scheme so I always seem to step on my toes when playing a new race. I hit "ok" and keep on trucking though. I rarely have 2 games going at once, so I don't see how it'll be a problem to me.
Does the wiki have some detail on asteroids? I have yet to find that page.
Unfortunately, the Wiki is generally still back in the days of DL. This DA guide however covers a good portion of what DA has to offer [link="http://www.jeffpinard.com/Dark%20Avatar.htm"]WWW Link[/link]
Well, with a pre-order you can play it now (minus what isn't released yet) w/o Metaverse though. I'd think a week or two after the final beta release it'll go live. They seem to be polishing the racial problems pretty quick (except some tech typos and placeholder text) and I don't foresee them needing much more time after the Victory Condition and Invasion Screen. But that's just my 2bc.
Also, 1 mining ship can take care of an infinite number of asteroids (albeit slowly), while you'll expend a constructor for each resource starbase and also for each upgrade for the starbase. There is some cost vs reward for you. Also, the TA Korx get some techs to make refining of resources even better than the other races, while I haven't yet seen someone rake in improvement in space mining beyond Space Mining III. I'm figuring that the Thalans will have something since they
As Lenius hinted in his post, the Central Mines are flagged as "indestructible" and thus won't be demolished upon taking over the planet. Any building in the past that couldn't be personally removed/upgraded (capitals, galactic wonders...etc) are just like the Central Mine. As for the Torian Harvesters....gives you a reason perhaps to NOT colonize their planets now huh? Heeeey Terror Star, c'mere a sec.
When is the Ascension victory condition going to be in the game?
Remaining Beta releases: 20-Dec Thalan Added, Altarians Added 3-Jan New Invasion Screen, New Victory Condition 15-Jan Polish of previous editions
Late January. Last Beta run should be the 15th.
It doesn't have to move very fast if you send in an escort fleet or three along with all the constructors to build it into enemy territory, then wait for the 10 weeks it takes to come online. That is what I did in my test of TS's. I had made one deep in my empire and tested it out on an empty system, then sent it floating towards the front line. However, I sent 2 wings of the before mentioned squads out and they got the the destination, built it and waited to come online before that damned fi
It won't shut off minor events. It's hard to tell just by looking at an event to tell, but if it has a bigger cousin like the pirate event, it's easy to tell. 1 fleet of avg ships vs 50 fleets of uber ships. Here is thread devoted to Mega Events [link="https://forums.galciv2.com/?forumid=346&aid=144210"]WWW Link[/link] *edit* LOL nm, you posted in that thread so you already know about it.
I had it happen to me once, but cannot replicate it. I'm playing a TA game and just took out the Dregin's fleets and planets w/o any lockups. Back when it happened, I sent my save game and debug.err in.
I haven't seen a expense report on them, so I think they are free. You loose 1 resource per empty parsec between the asteroid and the destination planet, to a minimum of 1.
Oh, and as for the issue of the Drath's startup. I had picked the +25% pop growth to offset their penalty. That, with Creativity, +30% econ (or morale) and something else I think, I had not many problems starting them up. I hadn't many planets to pick from since I was playing Medium with 9 races. My key I think was to not build anything on newly inhabited planets until they were at least 2bil in population to keep my construction costs low. As soon as the colony rush was done, I mad
Although I might not win, I've had a bunch of fun with war profiteering so far; I got the Torians to declare war on six different AI's in the same turn (during a 10% War Tax period). bwahaha!
I'm not sure yet on how they come up with the amount in war profiteering. If it's the raw income of the race, then it's fine. However, I swear I saw a lower amount in WP after the UP vote to tax 20% on warring races, which would indicate it's their final income that you get a % of.
or...(builds fighter) PEW PEW PEW TS go BOOM? hehehehe GalenEvil
Aye, make a ship with 1 attack point and super fast (to out flank any TS escort that the AI seems unable to concoct) and then send in your lonely xwing to take out the Deat...er, Terror Star. Any planet with a starbase will be able to repel a TS with ease since it moves at a teeth-grinding 1 parsec a week.
Being slightly colorblind myself (my wife just says it's a guy thing), I even have to squint to see the difference between Dregin and Drath. Korx/Iconian I really have a hard time though, Krynn are a bit darker.
Not ENTIRELY true. Via the cheat system you could keep swapping races for a quasi-hotseat game.
I think his misconception is that he had paid money and now he can DL it and play it. The bit of "people who PRE-ORDERED TA get to play the Beta" might have missed his eyes. End of January all bugs should be fixed when TA goes live.
Are you running 091(b).003? The first Beta 3C patch? 091(b).004 fixed that mining ship bug.
How about my Beta game that I decided that I'd blow up every last star in the (medium) galaxy with my Terror Stars? Including my own in the end (took out a total of 3 races in the final explosion). I believe that would constitute "madness".
During my very first game of the Beta some weeks ago, before TS were introduced I saw the UP vote to ban the use of TS. Now this seems all and good, but IMHO there should be an emergency (or next UP vote) once someone starts to construct a TS voting if they are allowed to build it instead of flat-out banning the use of one for everyone. This would eliminate the most hated militaristic races from making one yet allow the more peaceful diplomatic races have them on hand just in c
