If you're planning to release multiplayer capabilities in a 2nd phase of beta testing that is schedualled to come out a few months after the release of the 1st phase, will the single player that comes with the first beta allow player vs. computer outside of a storyline? My only concern is without both, the game may become a bit old in the gap between winter and spring. A lot of gamers tend to have the attention span of a moth with new releases... ~Virtualwolf|SF

Part of the fun associated with participating in a game like SoaSE IS it's complexity. If you're in a position where you have too many units to keep track of, you're not participating in the game enough. I saw this countless times in the Homeworld series. A key feature introduced into Homeworld 2 was the ability to transfer units to allies. This feature is far more useful than any multiple-player-control can ever hope to be. It also enables your friends to jump right into battles yo
The 1st person view options in Homeworld Cataclysm (while nauseating at times) were a spectacular addition to the game - especially since it was an optional feature existing purely for the user's entertainment. As with any new game, I'm sure there will be more pressing issues to address than the aesthetics. However, additions like these would be neat, and I'd suggest you bring clever little ideas such as these to IronClad's dev team during closed beta. ~Virtualwolf
