I've had a few games were there have literally been no monsters on the map at all. Plenty of adventurers to recruit and the AI were building their empires up, but no wandering critters to fight in all my explorations.
Teleport acts weird when your caster/group has a previously assigned Travel To destination movement order they haven't completed. Basically you teleport to your target tile, and then the caster/group will slide, not walk, but sliiiiiide back along the map to their original location, passing through national borders without qualm or worry or causing international incidents from doing so, and then attempt to complete their original travel to movement, all in the space of the single turn.

Any time I hit the back button from the choose opponents screen while using a Custom Faction, it puts me into the Customize Your Faction screen in the Faction Creator instead of back to the Choose Your Faction Screen of game setup. So from there I have to click 'Done' to get to the Workshop menu, then Back from there to reach the Main menu, and then start resetting up the game.

Did you see if bases are offering equipment with orange bonus like +3 to missiles or +100 to engine speed. If so then you have Reboot included.
