Something running in the background could be interferring with Impusle connecting. This can be caused by extra 'security' apps, like SpyBot, AdAware and the like. Even some anti-virus applications can have their own 'spybot' functions, and Firewall settings. Check your system (SysTray) for any of these 'watcher' type programs and try to turn them off, then launch Impulse, and watch the bottom left of the window, when it is done connecting, you won't see any text there,

1. -Click on Start, Run, then type "regedit.exe" and click OK 2. -on windows XP 32bits, Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Stardock\Drengin.net\Galciv2 3. -here you should find a String value named "Language" with "English" as Data 4. -if it's blank fill it with "English" 5. -if it doesn't exist, right click then select New, String Value and name it "Language"

Stardock Central lets you Archive a game on an internet-connected PC, and Restore to a non-internet PC, but SDC doesn't have the latest updates. Our Impulse Developers are at this moment working on allowing Impulse to do this also. Another issue with moving the game files, is the games have System Registry Keys that get entered during install. Moving the files won't place thsoe Keys in the Registry.
