WB is not IE8 ready, heck IE8 isn't even ready.

SturmB, Impulse does not have the connection to WC to download items. If you want, you can always access WC by using https://www.wincustomize.com and just sign in there. With your ODNT subscription, you get full access to WC anyway.
Why not turn off the 'hide when app is maximized?
Impulse automatically registers your software listed in your Stardock.net account, there should be no need to 'enter' the serial numbers. When you first run Impulse, click on the 'My Desktop' Tab and you will see all your apps, IP, WB, even MyColors themes listed there. To update an older program, simply highlight it's Icon and use the 'Update' link to the right.
Yes, you can install the game via Impulse, launch Impulse and it will automatically registered your game (listed in your Stardock.net account) and under the 'My Games' Tab you'll see an Icon for the game. Highlight that and use the Install button to the bottom right.
Are you running the free version? It is limited, you should get the full version ObjectDock Plus.
Animated bootskin? for what... 3 seconds? Don't really see the value in that.

Issue resolved.
There can be some sort of conflict with the DirectDraw interfaces provided by nVidia in recent driver revisions. You can avoid it by disabling DirectDraw acceleration - click start, run, type in "dxdiag", click the Display tab, click "Disable" next to "DirectDraw Acceleration." Note that this will also disable hardware acceleration in all your other games, so don't forget to go turn it back on when you're done playing TCM.
ZubaZ is 'official' as they come, but this is to back up his reply, yes you can install our software on 2 PC's, legally.
You have two posts of the same issue, try to avoid that if you can.
Are you getting the 'mini-dump' errors? If so, send them to [email protected]. You could also enter a support ticket with us at [email protected]
Good post, no whining for a change!
Try going to Documents\My Games\GalCiv2 and open the Prefs.ini file in Notepad. Change DisplayWidth and DisplayHeight to whatever your screen resolution is set for, save the file, and then try again. If that doesn't work, set Fullscreen=0 You can also do this at Documents\My Games\GC2DarkAvatar
Yes, it happened due to French & german languages being added for endless Universe.
Impulse is not like Steam... it's better!
Mini-dump files for Sins should be sent to IronClad, [email protected]
You could try uninstalling Impulse, rebooting your PC, then re-install from here; http://storage.stardock.com/files/Impulse_setup_full.exe

Please unload/quit ObjectDock so that it is not running, and then go to Start > Run... (Start > Start Menu Search in Vista) and then copy this into the command line: for XP: %userprofile%\local settings\application data\stardock for Vista: %userprofile%\AppData\local\stardock\ It will open a file folder. Delete any ObjectDock or ObjectDock Plus folders.
You have no Windows Experience Index base score, this doesn't look like a registered copy of WB's.
This can be caused by extra 'security' apps, like SpyBot, AdAware and the like. Even some anti-virus applications can have their own 'spybot' functions, and Firewall settings. they can prevent the skin from aplying, reverting it back to 'Classic', ugh! Check your system (SysTray) for any of these 'watcher' type programs and try to turn them off and see if that helps. Otherwise, e-mail us at [email protected]
