I personally wouldn't mind seeing Stardock use a little DRM on their items. I would not want to see the same thing happening to them that happened to the developers of World of Goo (2D Boy) and Machinarium (Amanita Design). It crashes late game, may just be my computer is behind the times, but it works for a while, and since i generally stick to long games with lots of races it can get pretty crowded...
