Perhaps you should get half of their ability bonuses in various categories?
Minor Race
Yes, I do like the idea of capturing starbases. Perhaps that's where spies could fit in? (You could only capture one if you had an espionage agent onboard?)
Thanks! I think the problem with this idea is there are so many possible additions. Originally, Super Nomad would be something like as long as you had a ship remaining, you would not be defeated (it could be a transport, or you could upgrade a ship to be a transport), and you could take a planet and 'come back from the grave'. But I liked my idea a little better.
What, no responses to this wormhole idea? In any case, I think it's a good one. I came up with this following idea: Late in the game, really late- perhaps make it off of a tech like Beyond Mortality, or Deeper Knowledge, make a tech called Artifical Wormholes. Once researched, you have the power to actually 'create' wormholes. You'd set an endpoint, and it would start somewhere- anywhere- near your core systems (older planets, but possibly not where you want it). The idea w
This has been gone a while, but- Allow ships to dock at a starbase, giving bonuses. Doing so can do a variety of things depending on the base. Influence: The arrival of a ship of the line makes the crew of that ship instant celebrities, increasing influence. Economic: More ships in the region means increased commerce on board between the crews, boosting trade. Military: Veteran troops train soldiers and support the starbase's weapons, giving it better boosts among the f
Woah, something went wrong. I tried to edit my second chapter to add a title and change some other things, and it created a brand new post. Can the post that has a chapter without a title be deleted please?
Thanks! I thought some people might be confused in the Precursor battle, but in any case, here's the next chapter. Hopefully, it's the last one before the actual game starts, well, maybe not. Chapter 2: The Prehyperdrive Snathi Horde As the years passed, the Snathi did exactly as their creator predicted. Responding to the point of the topic, not being happy about Legos- which I am... LEGO isn't doing the 'ripping off'. Rather, it's just one of their builders.
So I was playing with a custom race, using a default Super Ability. Then I began to wish that there were some 'generic' super abilities, extra to make custom races even more 'custom'. Of course, they can be modded in, but it would be simpler to have some 'generics' around. These are the ones I wished was in the game, as an example. Super Telepath: Loyalty is increased on every planet, and telepathic abilities improves the efficency of morale and influence buildings. (No numbers
I would love to have the option to have fourteen races on the map. I was a bit irritated even in DL when, if you were custom, you could only play with nine of the ten races.
Woah, what happened to the Iconians?
Okay, I'm still working on my other AAR but to make me try and get back to it more often I thought I'd do another one. Currently, I just started a game as my new custom race, the Snathi. Yes, the rodents. Unfortunately, this might be a little slow-paced. I'll have to start off a long time before the game actually starts, I will also do a few chapters before and after the game as well. So this is the first chapter- the Battle of Kalis-Yu, the 'epic' conflict of the Arnor/Dread Lord war. <
Thanks a lot. I thought that 'Load' button only loaded already made custom 'races' not opponents. Looking forward to enjoying my new game.
Okay, recently, I created a custom opponent that I wanted to use as an opponent in my Krynn game. This game is still undergoing play. However, I'm nearly finished, and I want to use this race as a custom 'player' race- i.e., as my race. Now, I know that creating a custom species to play as adds it to the list of opponents. However, it would be a lot simpler if there was a quick way of doing the other transfer. Any files I need to manipulate, or buttons to use- or should I just
Yes, is Arillas gone? I hope his new story comes back soon.
I've never heard of that before... I think it's just a bug.
Well, not every battle. But all the major ones. Bunker Hill/Breed's Hill, Trenton, Saratoga, Valley Forge, Yorktown. There was also something at a place called Morristown (not sure about it it, and two introducers. . Yes, that is true. I'd much prefer to be using the actual factions, and I'd rather there be no Fountain of Youth. In my opinion, while the first three campaigns were not historical enough, Fire was 'too historical' (combined fictional character and real history), Shad
Yay, I preordered it a while ago! Can't wait for the beta.
One time a custom race got this and they were being defeated in war (that I had got them into). About fifty turns later they surrendered to the Yor.
In the backstory, Delta-3 (should be D-3, following the Yor naming pattern) is a Yor who sells ammunition and armament (a weapons merchant), presumably to speed the extermination of carbon-based life forms. He's not in the scenario. If they knew what they were doing, Delta-3 should just have been made the Yor leader for this mission. But none of the characters are actually in the scenario.
That's a good idea! I never thought of that. I had to actually wait until they had built up some stuff.
What about minor races? Do they just have normal tech trees? And how will T.T. be adjusted? In my opinion, you should be able to trade any tech to anyone still, so the Drengin can trade Slave pit technology to the Terrans if they want. Because in theory they can still learn the technology.
Science vessels would be better implemented (I think), along with space terrain For instance, bringing a science ship through a nebula (a ship with an Interstellar Laboratory module or some-such thing) would boost something depending. For instance, maybe you discover a new type of scientific research by examining the nebula or a new manufacturing process by studying a comet field. Whatever. That would differ from Survey Ships, because anomalies disappear, but these would
Wait... Were all of the Drath wiped out? I've been told they were, and the game says so, but the Drengin had been warring with the Drath before the final assault on their homeworld. Wouldn't some be still alive as slaves before the Drath world was annihilated? Or was every single Drath killed by the Korath, even slaves? And what about their agents and like-wise in other cultures, do you expect me to believe they were eliminated too? It just doesn't fit. Some Drath might have al
