Minotaur warriors aren't important, they die too quickly anyway. Shamblers, Archers, priests and catapults do not move within AOE range. That leaves, yetis (trash regardless), vampires, and giants.
Sure they do. They constantly run past friendly towers.
I'm having a hard time seeing the situation you are addressing here. The QoT is only going to have 1 Uproot in effect

I'd like to once again thank you for taking the time to think about these issues and provide constructive responses. I do value your input. I'll try to address the points that you brought up. If I miss any or mistake your intent, please correct me. Minion Armor Items that you missed: Pendant of Grace (dodge actually, but similar mechanic) Ironwalkers Forest Band I had thought there were a few more, but it now
Pardon me if I'm slow, but as I understand it HorseStrangler (btw, weren't you obscenitor at one point?) is very much against the current version of uproot because: Uproot AOE damage against rook tower farm is insane (200 dps forever) Uproot AOE damage against any demigod trying to break down the rook tower farm is insane (200 dps + tower attacks forever) Uproot healing effect makes taking down a tower guarded by a QoT virtually impossible. The AOE
If anyone would be willing to help me playtest this mod, I'd appreciate the help. I don't have a regular group to bounce mod versions off of. My schedule is also a bit awkward, but I'd love the assistance. Playing against the AI ones gets you so far.
1. For minions I believe DrawScales affects size. 2. Photoshop will do it. Gimp will do it. Gimp is also freeware, whereas Photoshop isn't. I use gimp. Check out my skinning QoT thread for some more information. I should mention I haven't edited icons yet, but it seems straightforward enough. 3. There are some mods that add new achievement item tabs. Go look them up.
pacov: Much better. When I make make long posts I typically write them (or rewrite them) in notepad and then copy them over (and then edit to fix the wierd things it does). It helps to make the fonts stable. also, bump.
I believe you when you say the QoT is currently best at being a supporting demigod, but I still don't believe you claims that she is good. You specifically name which demigods you would play her with:
For instance I would never play her with a squishie(reg/da/TB) or sedna, and only with a very very good rook.
By straight damage, I'm assuming you mean high dps or high burst damage. In the high dps and high burst da

Shield max level with ground spikes buff = 15% damage reduction and a shield of 1450 damage Hammer slam / boulder roll combo = 2100 damage - 15% = 1785 damage, 335 over your shield. For the healing tower effect you'll only need the contents from HQueen_Abilities.lua. I included the others for some other changes I was making. You'll want Uproot_Damage, Uproot_Heal, Uproot 1 through 4. If you want to disable the AOE violent siege damage you'll need to remove 4 comment markers in Uproot_Damage & Uproot_Heal. It should be relatively straightforward, ask if you have questions.
I'm not sure if they used the same setup, but I remember browsing a few posts in Supreme Commander about sound modding. I do however fear that the end result was that they used a monolithic proprietary sound file format, and that modding it wasn't possible.
I think you'll find that the healing effect is a little underwhelming. However, here is the code for it.
Lord-Orion posted the basic form of most QoT builds. Bramble Shield, Ground Spikes, 1 level of Spike Wave, and then a dash of something (in this case shambler). Other builds are slight variations of this, but on whe whole very similar. The similarity lies in that Bramble Shield and Ground Spikes are her only good skills. What I want to do is make over builds more viable. lifekatanna makes the claim that minion builds are viable, but I haven't seen any or heard of any that I believe really wor
re: HorseStrangler Thanks for taking the time to give it a shot. I completely agree with what you are saying, if you read my long diatribe you'll notice I mentioned
Reading some of the threads on the GPG forum, I came across a complaint about how generals don't control enough unique troops to make it seem like you control an army, rather than a little squad. This made me think, what about replacing the entourage line with a second line of minions. I know I sound crazier than usual, but hear me out. Extra models and animations aren't going to happen with the current SD/GPG setup, but that doesn't mean we can't reuse and modify the models and anima
Since I'm causing trouble, I'm going to add another stick to the fire. What would it take to make Morale useful? As I understand it, morale upgrades are currently thought of as useless. The current boosts for Morale per level are +50 Minion Health +0.5 Minion Health per second +2% Minion Attack Speed +50 Minion Armor +4 Minion Weapon Damage Would doubling the bonuses make it worthwhile, but not too go
Try setting your in-game sound to medium fidelty settings. I know, it sounds crazy, just give it a shot.
I do play the Queen, her and the UB are my primary demigods. However, I'm also not a tier 1 player. My observations are limited in that sense. However, I have maintained an active reading presence of the board. A general consensus of the QoT is that she is very underpowered. Overall, game stats suggest she is the worst of the demigods. Among higher level players, I haven't seen any evidence that she is more desired than any other demigod. The only argument for QoT power I can recall i
Good Morning, So, let's sum up the comments to date, and my responses. I now get to talk too much. [e digicons][/e] Overall: Buffed too much You are crazy Pt: Perhaps, but I'm also seeing a lot of incomplete theory craft. This mod changes a lot of things that we take for granted for the QoT. I'm not saying it isn't too buffed, it is. However the changes are worse/different than any on
I'm been somewhat disenchanted with modding, so progress has been slow lately. Here is a new skin for the New Year. Download: QoT2_Skin
Preface: I've been keeping up with the current QoT Mods, however I have a different version of what should happen. Instead of making the QoT more competitive with other demigod directly, I've chosen to focus on her strengths, keep her weakneses and make her playing style more unique than other demigods. Current QoT builds focus on two primary skills: Bramble Shield and Ground Spikes. Instead of making other skills useful to add a dash of into the build, I'm trying to develop s
I've not tested it. I wouldn't think so. However, I'd also suggest that the sweet-spot behavior is a bug and should be removed anyway.
It doesn't effect game play. It just annoyed me that every time the QoT it looks like she is vomiting (or another type of purging activity).
Q: I've written a couple of bugfixes for Demigods at this point fixing Minion +hp items ( thread ) and the QoT Attack Animation Visuals ( thread ). What's the best way to make sure that GPG and SD is aware of them and get them implimented into the next patch? Pacov: Can you make the question list font the same size as the default font? It is a little small for me. Tha
The Bug The QoT's root (basic) attack has an animation error. When the root attack hits the target, it then recoils into the ground. However, instead of disappearing after receding into the ground it continues to lower, leading to the root "dropping" off of the bottom of some maps. This can be seen in the following pictures, notice the root circled in red. After som
