oh good. another religous debate!
Chef Garry
the screenshot of the config dialogue shows effects where mine shows tabs and styles. I'm confused - is the screenshot for OD basic? or has effects been added to OD+ and I'm not getting it?
Good to hear!
God bless and our prayers are with you.
Thanks Seldomseen. I've installed Wisbar advance and I like the look. No where near as intuitive as WB but I'll start playing with themes more and then look at the stuff you mention.
Thanks Carl, I'll give it a look.
I just got a pocket pc and of course the first thing I wanted to do was to skin it. I understand PocketBlinds is a dead issue. Any suggestions? I'm running Windows Mobile.
or searching for docklets in general gives 4 pages of stuff. https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.aspx?libid=29&search=docklet

You need iconx for that.
search for docklets in the OD library
Tune in next week for a lesson on how to get your docks to wash the dishes for you I have a decent recipe for dock a l'orange.
right click the existing icon and choose Dock Entry Properties. Select Change Image and browse to wherever you stored the downloaded icon. Select that and you've got it.
Do you mean Object Dock plus or Object Bar? In OB, you can either download a widget and, using the theme editor, add a widget to the bar. Configure the widget by browsing to the downloaded widget. Or you can use the ones listed on the left hand menu although I don't think they look as nice as downloaded ones. For OD+ you need to download a docklet and add it to you dock.
open your dock settings then on the tabs and styles menu chose styles and pick style you want from the dropdown menu
actually, my eyes started hurting within a couple of seconds. Old guys need contrast. Also lots of bed rest.
My experience has been very positive (thanks again Mike!). That said, Dan makes a number of very clear, reasoned and impassioned points. Would that all who have concerns could be so!
sorry. I got this into the wrong thread. To the topic at hand - those who serve do difficult and dangerous work. Whether you agree with the current situation or no, these men and women go where they're told to do what is necessary.
I pay money for many things (many, many things ). Some of them are necessary and some aren't. Everyone has to decide for themselves whether or not the product is worth the price to them. SDC and WC are certainly not necessary items but for myself, I've considered the products and the site worth my time and money. If that's not the case for you then your decisions been made.
And I really don't want to hear that it's the credit card company's fault as I can charge fine on Amazon. And yet I have no problems using my Visa card here. I don't live in the US either. I can't say what the problem is but it seems (to me anyway) unfair to categorically blame SD - except possibly because it's easier to get a response through the forum?
Agreed on that one!
I've been here (mostly quiet) about as long as you WOM (I still remember what the letters stand for!). As I recall, we've always had a certain amount of dissention and "screw you all, I quit" going on. We've lost some great people over the years and will again. Side note, I love it when folks we haven't heard from for a while drop in. Bakerstreet comes to mind. Possibly one of the most erudite and controversial members ever. I recall Brad and Bakerstreet had many a clashing sword!
People have often said of me "he can be an ass but you always know where you stand". For myself, I'm quite happy with that. I think the same can be said of Brad and I mean that as a compliment. We can agree or disagree and if I'm sufficiently miffed, I can take my few pitiful toys and leave if I feel I must. Carry on!
Each account can have its own skin. We've got 4 accounts and they're all different. No trick to doing it either, just load the config and choose the skin. However, all users do need to have full permissions to WB which you can set in the Admin account.
As much as the loss of these two members saddens me, Brad's point is valid IMO. If members disagree in discussion, that's fine. OTH, if you take your toys and go home, then that's also fine but don't expect to be welcomed back in future. I didn't see the wall in question but that's not really the issue Brad's addressing anyway. I'm sure he doesn't really want the Wood's to leave but that was their choice. To make unwarrented assumptions regarding whether or not Brad (or any
