Early on I use ColonyShips with 2 modules,
Same here. The biggest nerf in GC2 history may well be when colony modules were cut down from 500 to 250. The amount of time and money lost before a colony becomes profitable is roughly quadrupled I think, tripled at least. Well worth adding a second module to say the least.
Agree, the Merchant Complex of the Iconians gives an incredible boost and you are amazingly never short of money. I played so far Altarians and went quickly broke, then tryed the Iconians and had enough money all over the game (+ Federalist party). In fact it is like having one Economical Capital on each planet!Iconians face other difficulties later on in the game (soldiering, research) but deffinitively not money.Moral: money is not everything but almost...
Actually I fo

1. Reworking the espionage system as already planned. Having to shut down an improvement just to gather info (especially if its an ally) isn't right. 2. A favourite tab on the colony screen. While I love the variety of planetary improvements now in TA having to page through screens and screens of them to find a factory, then back a full screen to find my production increaser then down a few more screens for a starport, then back up 3 or more screens for say advanced farming etc etc

Amazing expansion, everyone involved should be proud. Bug: The Iconian building Precursor Library which gives 12 TP is coming up short when placed on a research bonus tile. Instead of a bonus 12 TP when placed on a 100% bonus it is only resulting in a bonus 10 TP. When placed on a 300% bonus tile only 30 bonus TP are given when it should actually be 36. Problem: Iconian economy IMO needs some serious balancing still. Their buildings could use a bi

Agreed. I was just checking out what the techs were for Altaran when they go neutral or evil only to find nothing. Did the final tech tree get put in the final release? It still looks like it has gaps as well as temp labels.

Updating to the latest drivers seems to have corrected the problem, I'm playing through a new game now to make sure. I suspect the VPU recover option in the Catalyst Control Centre is helping, or even responsible. Still, its at least a clue to a possible problem with the new invasion screen - never had any problem like that in any version before it was added. Since its not happening anymore and I've been playing I don't have Debug file from right after a crash, sorry. Here's the top of the l

Got a major bug that showed up with the new invasion screen. Most of the time when invading a planet after clicking the attack button the screen on my laptop flashes blue with green lines running through it then the system resets, frequently involving a chckdsk scan. After booting back up I get a message saying Windows recovered from a major problem. Those few times when this does not happen immediately on hitting the attack button after the invasion is over it happens when trying to bring up

Upgrades to the civ capital and initial colonies would be nice. Just about every other thing in the game is upgradeable, usually several times over - one of the many great things about the game. However from the very first turn to the very last one those buildings are exactly the same while everything else around them improves. Nothing major, say a three tier tech boosting the industry, research, and morale a little each time would add a nice extra developement option.

Actually it works fairly well more often than not. Especially with a good social production bonus, setting sliders to 1% military, 99% social, 0% research in the first round and never having to touch them again is kinda nice. Not to mention it simplifies planet design, saves researching research techs, etc. The super hive ability works *really* well for this also.
I tested this a bit further - I found that planets I received after I got the bonus had the correct number of tiles, but planets I had at the time I got the bonus didn't receive the bonus tiles.
Same here, I've got several PQ 15 planets with 14 tiles, PQ 12 with 11 tiles, etc. They were all in my possession when I researched paradise planets. Planets acquired since then seem to be counting correctly.

I prefer to play with tech trading off so this was really annoying last game I played. I had close relations with the Yor, Krynn, Drengin, and Korath (was Terran myself) but was never able to make one alliance. Heck, I had *twelve* +'s and no -'s with the Krynn - best relation I have seen to date.
