Yeah, I'll be honest, I love Fences and have used it since it first came out, but there isn't enough of a difference to justify the $7.99 upgrade price for me. I'd do it for $4.99, though. Since I keep as few icons on the desktop as possible in the first place, being able to peek at them is of very little use to me. Maybe it'll show up in another Humble Bundle in the future.

I've always had quirky problems with IconPackager even when I used it on XP. The default icons always seemed wrong in one way or another.

I still think the skins that came out back in the WindowBlinds 5 days were much better than most of the skins being released now. Too bad they're all XP skins so I can't continue to use them on Vista without parts of it looking quirky. It's a shame that most of the skins that get released nowadays that are of the same quality are master skins.
I like the skin a lot so far, but would you consider putting in that original start button as a substyle? It seems like every other skin that comes out nowadays has an orb for its start button. That one you had was different.
I tried it and I'm just not too impressed. The day that we can truly change Vista's animated boot screen will be great. It looks like this is essentially just enabling the N GUI boot and changing the picture. Every time I use No GUI boot, it takes noticeably longer to boot my computer up and this is no exception. It's a good list of resolutions but the only ones that are really necessary are 1280x1024, 1600x1200, 1920x1200 (16:10), and 1920x1080 (16:9 1080p). 1280x1024 is a unique aspect ratio in itself and 1600x1200 would scale down to 1024x768 just fine. A 1920x1200 wallpaper will also scale down to 1280x800 without a problem.
Well it's actually a custom Vista msstyle. You can use them if you're comfortable with taking ownership of system files and replacing them with patched ones. Definitely not as convenient as WindowBlinds, but honestly for me, most WindowBlinds skins that have come out since since Vista was released haven't been that great.I also like to tinker, though. I miss the stuff that was released during the WindowBlinds 4 and 5 days.... Sadly, those skins don't look so hot on Vista.

Well I've noticed that when this happens to me, simply clicking apply again while your invisible cursor is still hovered over it seems to make it show up.

Songbird is still early in development and lacks features, though. MediaMonkey is definitely where you wanna go. $20 will get you the Gold version but that's up to you as to whether you'll use the features or not. Other than that, MediaMonkey is bursting with functionality that iTunes, Winamp, and WMP all have but doesn't have all the unnecessary junk of those media players.
I noticed this within the first week that Vista came out. If you use explorer to set your wallpaper or use any of the options where the wallpaper needs to be resized, Vista will resave the picture as a horribly compressed jpg. I've used WindowBlinds to apply my wallpapers for at least a year now just because of that problem. One major thing about WindowBlinds, though, is that there needs to be an option to add wallpaper directories recursively. I'd like to oraganize my wallpapers into subfolders
