ok thnx for the info. Still wondering about the minor and flag ship level's. can u upgrade those to have weapons also? in which case they too can gain the experience in the same manner.
oh wo thnx alot. Yeh i turned that up to max....for some reason thought it would increase the detail. Whats a good number to have tactical zoom on for a decent system setup?
Ok so im looking at the control panel, i select a ship and a see it says 'level 0', first of all, what does this mean? and secondly, how do i increase this level? is it like experience when u win wars? But then again, the minor also has this, so perhaps its something else? <

Ok, I turned the game on this morning, and when i start a new game, i get these red shapes in place of ships, and small circles for planets and stars....i uninstalled the game and its not different!!

Ok so Ive really tried to understand this game, I've tried the ingame tutorials, looked for step by step instructions online, and even tried an hour in game trying to find my way around. All have just left me more confused! All i want to do is understand the basics of how to play, then hopefully ill learn the rest as I go. Ok so i just got the game yesterday, ive tried the various tutorials and tried playing a bit today, but to be honest, i just dont know where to start. Ive tried looking for some clear step by step instructions online but havent found any. PLEEEASE can anyone offer me some help to get me started, or even direct me to somewhere i can.
