Has anyone tried moving the page file to a USB ready boost 4 gig thumb drive? In theory, it should be faster than a hard drive. Think I'll try it and see. :)

Something to consider when moving your page file to the second hard drive, only do this if your second hard drive is internal. If it is an external USB drive the access time is going to increase dramatically which would slow your system down.
Does VLC do BlueRay?
Snowman or Zub... The turntable...how well does it work? Is the speed ok...is it adjustable? Is the stylus any good? Is it magnetic or ceramic? How well does the old vinyl convert to digital? If it’s worth it, I need to get me one of those. :)
As far as I know this was never in the plan for DeskScapes.
I can't resist... So, it's dreaming while awake...wouldn't that be called day dreaming. ;) (/me quietly sneaks off to find a place to hide.)
That's makes you 2 months older than me...damn, your an old fart. ;) Happy Birthday.
Oh, the proud parent of a water cooler. :D It looks really good. Personally, I am a bit afraid of mixing water and electronics. I find that once the magic smoke leaks out, I end up buying a new system. ;)
Good for you. Are you off the patches yet? Once you get the nicotine out of your system, your home free. It's been 4 years for me and I do not miss them at all. Good job quitting and congratulations. :CONGRAT:

I found the original site way back around the time Al Gore invented the internet and just had to join. I was MIA for a few years after that and when I came back I found that I had either forgotten my password or my account had been closed. Since the email addy I joined with was from 3 ISPs prior, I created a new account and added a 1 to my moniker. I was drawn back by the release of DeskScapes and the Dream gallery. Once I raped and pillaged the gallery dry, I decided to start creating my o
At first it was only occasionally. Now they are back on every page in the forums. Can Andrew look at this, please? BTW...Yes, I've logged out and back in, cleared cookies and cache. Edit: Right after I posted this, the problems seems to have fixed itself. Go figure.
Bebi Bulma, Even though the directions say the it can be larger than 50x50 and will resize it down, when you go to upload it insists the picture to be the correct dimentions. I just changed mine and found this out.
JediMagoo...it appears that you are correct. I assumed that the preview would play the dreams in the gallery. I was mistaken.
Will it allow you to run the dreams that are posted in the gallery or are you limited to the ones that come with the preview? Since I have the full version loaded on my PC, I have no way to test this.

Dee, I'm surprised you noticed the loop as it should be seamless. If you are noticing a slight hiccup when it loops you may have some codec incompatibility. Check out the following Stardock page that covers codecs, it may be of some help. [link="https://www.stardock.com/products/deskscapes/nocodec.asp"]WWW Link[/link] When Dreamscence and Deskscapes first came out I had a hiccup problem that ended up being caused by Nero 7. I uninstalled it and the problem went away.
well its out but only as like a free veiw thing so basicly if your not willing to pay anything like me you get only 3 samples n only 1 of them (the moving grass kinda boring) is like the only good 1 really.
There are more than enough great "free" dreams in the gallery. Stardock is supplying the ability to run dreams and a place for you to get 500 megs worth of additional dreams, downloadable from the gallery, at no cost to you. I don't understand...wha
Thanks for the link, I now have a new favorite set of icons. :CONGRAT:
Am I to assume that running UAC no longer allows DX made sidebar gadgets, like Vad_M's sidebar clock, to run on the final version of SP1?
WB6?, browse to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Stardock\WindowBlinds, copy folder for skin to other PC.
There you go...thats even easier. :CONGRAT:
Thank you Brad. BTW: have you had a chance to check out the latest dreams in the gallery? ;)
You can use winrar to create a install file to use. Navagate to the directory were the blind is stored, highlight all of the contents, right click and choose add to zip, and it will zip all of the files into 1 file. Name that file whatever.wba. You now have a install file. I have Windows Vista. To create a install file for the blind "Diamond" that comes with WB6 I would navigate to C:\users\public\documents\stardock\windowblinds\diamond. I would then highlight all of the files in the di
Any way to get the Silent Hill dream posted to SDC for us Object Descktop subscribers? I don't want to install the preview to check out the dream.
Yesterday, I installed a few updates that were just released. Are the ones that ID is refering to dated today or yesterday? I'm currently at work and am not able to check. Since Tuesday is when Microsoft's releases most updates, I'm wondering if they released something special today.
