I would also update your video card drivers with the newest ones avaliabl

RickJP, I really like the look of your laptop. :CONGRAT: That dream matches Turbo well. ;)
killajosh, If you go into your folder options in control panel, click on the view tab and uncheck the box for the line "Hide extentions for known file types", you will be able to see file extentions and can the change them manually to whatever you want. You could then zip up your files and manually change the .zip to .xsf in windows explorer.
I agree with Zubaz about the codecs. If you can't uninstall them, I would do a system restore to before you installed them if possible. If you have Nero installed, it also installs its own codecs and some of the earlier versions conflicted with dreamscenes and deskscapes. Have you installed any DVD player or editing software that didn't come with your PC? If you have dreamscenes installed also, you will have a check box in the "Choose desktop background" window that is labeled "use inte
Breathless19 went through this and he refers to one in post #23 in that thread. I have yet to try it so make sure you create a restore point before installing just in case. I believe your version comes with a 32 bit codec and a 64 bit is requiered for it to work. Make sure to come back and post your results.
While currently only available for Windows Vista users, Stardock is investigating some of the recent video driver advances on Windows XP
XP users have to be happy about this. :CONGRAT:
What version of windows? If it's Business, it does not come with Mpeg 2 support and it will not run that dream with out a 3rd party codec installed. If this is the case the following thread has a link to a working codec...[link="https://forums.wincustomize.com/post.aspx?postid=301503"]WWW Link[/link] All of the dreams I create are Mpeg 2 and the dream you mentioned is mine.
I also voted to add the cellphone support. Since the pocket blinds gallery is dead, I vote you change the description and use it for cellphones. :CONGRAT:
I imagine it was hard to choose a winner as all of the submissions look outstanding. :D
Rick, If your a Object Desktop subscriber, Turbo is a Subscriber Premium (free) Skin. Xiandi, I will be more than happy to help but it will be 5:00 EST before I can get to my Vista machine.
You can download Paint Shop Pro from here...[link="http://www.brothersoft.com/downloads/paint-shop-pro.html"]WWW Link[/link] All are shareware versions which let you try before you buy. Next time remember, Google is your friend.
Do you know that you can turn UAC off completely? Open your control panel, open user accounts, and then click on "Turn User Account Contol on or off". There are advantages to running it but in it's current state it is more of a nusance than anything else for most users.
That is one nice dream. Matter of fact all of The Master Baron's dreams are good. Make sure to check out some of the other ones that are out there too. ;)
It's a shame...the guys been a member for less than a week and acts like that. Probably won't be around for long. :(
Question about saving a jpg in Photoshop to use as wallpaper. Any idea as to what the bitrate should be set as? I always choose the highest thinking it will be of better quality but I really have no idea. I can't imagine it matters if it's not part of a animation.
TweakUI - XP powertoy from Microsoft, that'll do it.
Since Choja didn't specify an OS...Don't use TweakUI if you are running Vista...XP only.
I have to agree with Zub...I prefer comments over ratings.
Go for it. I would much rather have the slower version.
Congratulations everyone :CONGRAT:
Tiger direct has deceptive practices. I once placed an order with them over the phone and the sales rep asked me if I would like to be signed up for a free magazine as bonus for my order. I said sure and 3 months later they charged my credit card for it. It took a year before it finally was canceled and refunded to my credit card. Another thing was I could have subscribed to the magazine for half the price they charged. Also, beware of the rebates. They state that you must send the paper
Jafo...I believe that F1 would also be another fine addition. :) It might be a little harder to strike a deal with them though.
I envisioned a theme set for every driver’s team. I would start with the most popular and work my way down. This could work well for Stardock as drivers and teams get swapped around every couple of years so a Nascar fan would buy a new one when their favorite drivers changes teams or sponsors. There are a lot of race fans down south and the sport has a growing fan base with each season so this may be something for Stardock to look at.
What's next...NASCAR? :)
(including DreamScapes)
You must have gotten your hands on a hybrid version, part DreamScene, part DeskScapes.
