Thanks for posting this. It’s nice to know what others are using. I have tried After Effects, but found it a bit complicated for a first time user. With the links you provided for the tutorials, I think I will revisit it. I've been using TMPGEnc 4 XPress and Vista Ultimate's Movie Maker. I find that Movie Maker drops the quality too much for my taste so hopefully I will find After Effects more to my liking. I've been creating these for about a year now and when the DeskScapes 2.0 beta
In the meantime, had re-formatted my granddaughter's computer with Vista and she was no longer able to play her favorite princess game (which worked on my computer).
Have you tried right clicking on the shortcut and setting it to run in WindowsXP mode under the compatability tab?

I noticed after installing CursorFX last night that I was unable to resize the window to a larger size. I have also noticed this with other Object dock apps that have the newer GUI. Was this intentional or is it a bug with my system? I ask because I am running a fairly high resolution which makes the windows a tad bit too small. Has anyone else noticed this or is it just me? :NOTSURE:
What that's saying is that both versions support cursors of unlimited size, not that both versions have resizing functionality.
Well, my point is why bother advertising that the free version can support it if it is unable to do it. It is redundant.

FYI...The link on the top of this page gives you the preview, the one at the bottom of the page gives you the public one. [link="https://www.stardock.com/products/cursorfx/downloads.asp"]WWW Link[/link] Time to me to uninstall and reinstall. Interesting thing...the comparison chart says the curser can be of unlimited size in both versions but you can only resize your curser in the pro version. :NOTSURE:

Dreams have to be in MPG or WMV format. AVI will not work unless you convert it. Use TMPG 4.0 xpress to convert to MPG. There's a trial version you can download. You can also use Windows Movie Maker to convert it to WMV. I believe you need the version that comes with Vista Ultimate to do high resolution though.

You can create a transparant icon and use it as the icon for each of your shortcuts. Then place that shortcut on top of the item in the picture you would like to click on.

A lot of police officers are on a power trip and can be real dicks. Keep this in mind as if he knows it was you that turned him in, he will be looking for some pay back. I know this firsthand as I worked for my local sheriffs dept. for 10 years. It takes a heck of a guy to knowingly put themself in such a bad position to save a puppy, but one things for sure...you did the right thing.

After reading this again, I caught that this was a reprint of the story so change that to...I can't believe he was that foolish.
