I just spit coffee all over my monitor. One hell of a funny read. BTW...I can't believe you were that foolish.
Now every time the dern thing burns up.. "which they seem to do on a steady basis"
Sounds like you may have a power spike or "dirty" power issue. Do you have it on a UPS? It is dependant upon who your cable supplier is will make a difference whether or not you should buy your own. If it is Time Warner/Road Runner, the bill will be the same either way. The cable modem is part of the service and they will not give you a discount if you supply your own. One thing to
Don't take this the wrong way but Jafo is going to love this thread. You misspelled profession 3 times. ;) I wish you luck on the skinning and you may want to ask Vstyler, I believe he does it professionally.
I always start at the home page and go from there. That way I get a glimse of everything at the start.
Gotta love those free skins. :CONGRAT: Frogboy...I'm suprized you haven't edited your registry to hide the version number that the Service Pack RC1 put there.
Man...I do not envy you guys. I used to live in the UP...couldn't pay me to go back up in the winter. I do miss ice fishing for pike...only for a moment though, when I remember how cold the weather really is.
I use this site exclusively. :) I got tired of all the pop ups and ads that all of the other sites have. I also hate going through all of the crap to get to the good stuff that other sites have to offer.
I keep seeing this "internal player" mentioned,I have Vista Home Premium with DeskScapes installed, can I choose between internal and external players and if so,how?
I believe this is an Vista Ultimate only item. On my Ultimate system with Dreamscenes and the Deskscapes beta installed, I have a check box above the sizing boxes on the bottom right of the Desktop wallpaper window where you choose the dream you want to run. On my Premium system with deskscapes installed, I do
I ought to point out that schedules do change, so while something is on the list above with a scheduled date, please remember that dates can and do change sometimes.
I wonder if this is Neil's way of saying that this is Brad's schedule and please don't take it out on him if a date slips.
Island Dog, Thank you for selecting my "Surfs Up" Dream. It's nice to have your work appreciated. :D
At this point I would have preferred to get OEM XP and a cheap or bootleg copy of Office, just for the fact that I have spell check and compatibility with work computers, Excel files.
So, Am I to assume this means your OK with software piracy? :NOTSURE:
There is nothing that truly bothers me about Vista Ultimate, if you forget about, No MS WORD, No OS integrated Microsoft Virus Protection,
And you think these come with XP?
Keymac, I uploaded a newer version for better mpg compatibility. Try it and see if it works for you.
DadBart Basicly, there are 2 types of Dreams, dynamic and looped video. Dynamic uses less CPU power because the dream is rendered by the video card not the CPU. Currently the only dynamic dreams are being relesed by Stardock as the software development kit to create them has not been released to the public. I believe all the dynamic dreams in the dream gallery are marked as such. The other is looped video. The amount of CPU power that a Dream needs is dependant upon what t
I happy it was released. :CONGRAT: It even got me motivation to create some Dreams. :)
If I was aware of the small size of these
At the bottom of your desktop window where you choose the dream you want to run, there should be a choice to stretch the desktop to fit, mine is the box to the left.
Desktop Earth is free for all users of Object Desktop. That being the case, everyone currently using the beta should have installed it already.
Windows for Workgroups 3.11 is still a viable OS and all this new fangled crap is jsut that.
Bah Win 3.11 blows...Id rather stick to my Win 2.0 and all 16 colors.
That is the beta. When it comes out of beta they will give it the 2.0 designation.
I run Windows Defender
Philly0381, has defender ever hit on anything for you? I've been running it since the first beta and I have never had it hit on a thing. :NOTSURE:
Does anyone know how to encode a video in reverse with TMPGEnc xPress. I would like to make a mpg out of a short clip by running it forward first then reversing the clip to see if it would loop better.
It's 7:51pm, pitch black out, yet the Desktop Earth dream is still saying that it's light out here?
You should have lights on on the east coast of the US.
Liquid Dream has a lot more options.
In my opinion, there's not enough to justify the price...you should drop it to $4.95 if the final version is the same as this Water Dream. When I heard there was going to be enhancements I was hoping to see the ability to change the video speed or choose the playing point of the video for large ones like movies but those options are yet to be seen. Do you think these might make it into a future version?
I run without UAC...I had no problems seeing it in SDC, installing it and the dreams or running the program. Funny thing, I do not see any differance. I see a couple new dreams and a check box for use internal player but that's about it. Seems like it runs the same for me. What were the improvement in this version over the last? Was this tweaked to run faster and more stable? When I heard there was going to be enhancements I was hoping to see the ability to change the video speed
A few questions... Is this the enhanced version? If so, where's the enhancements. What's the "use internal player" check box for? Lastly, I bought Liquid Dream ...now you are giving it away as "Water Dream". Why would you give away a previously sold Master Dream and make the people who bought it feel ripped off?
Post moved to the other thread...nothing to see here.
