The MacBook Pro has just recieved serious upgrading of hardware because of this (without a rise in price, incidentally):
The sad thing is, by the article you linked, the upgraded specs are the same as the HP laptop I recently purchased. The price on the MacBook Pro is $2499.00 and the HP is availible for below $1000.00 which includes sales tax and a 5 year extended warranty.

BDBF...you missed the part where he replaced the 8800 with a Radeon 5850. Depending on which power supply you have, it may still be under warranty. Some of the OCZ 650's had a 5 year swap out warranty. You should check to see if yours is still covered. While I agree that unacomn should replace it with a new system, with times the way they are he may not be able to afford to.

Back to the original topic...this seems like a very useful tool and worth checking out. The use of partitions isn't for everyone and they are useful in certain circumstances and not for others...your mileage may vary. I would also like to point out that if you are uncomfortable with tweaking your system or are not a power user, than perhaps this software isn't for you. Thanks for pointing it out Doc. As I said earlier...keep em' coming. I think it&

At the least, they should be giving him some freebies for pimping their products. [e digicons];)[/e] I've picked up a few of

I had this error once on the PC I have for guests to use and I solved it by turning UAC off, uninstalling windowblinds completly and manually deleting the 3 directories it installs to. Then I rebooted, reinstalling Windowblinds while UAC was still turned off, rebooted again and then I turned UAC on. At that point I rebooted and all worked fine.

Sorry to hear this Uvah. Skarney makes a good point...if you can, check the pawn shops close to you. If you find it, call the police and they will get it back for you.

Here's the score on my new laptop I picked up last month. 17.3 monitor, 2nd gen Intel i7-2720QM, 8 gigs ram, switchable graphics (ATI 2GDDR5 & Intel HD3000), 2 hard drives (1x160 GB SSD drive and 1x750 GB 7200 rpm sata), Blu ray player / DVD burner, 9 cell battery. It also has beats audio with a built in subwoofer. The sound is not to bad as is but it's really sweet hooked up to a set of Bose speakers. The only down side is
