I agree with Aquamonkey and Croths.. I too have been soooo waiting to be able to use Bootskins.... I won't feel regretful for Upgrading to Vista... I am eagerly awaiting for Bookskins for vista though... thats actually a major factor in very recently buying Object Desktop.. I am anxious that maybe OD 08 will have a bootscreen editor in it for Vista.... Other than waiting for Bootskin for vista *the LAST customization I Need to do to my vista PC*

UM.... theres been a "solution" to the Desktop X and SP1 issue.... it deals with with UAC.. Simply Turn it on... for some reason at a time Desktop X on a system with SP1 the program had issues if the UAC was turned off.. Turn it on and then Wah LA! a Solution and Desktop X works.. Thats what happend to me and others.. NO need to uninstall SP1...... Anne

Oh man!! I just upgraded my video card and Now thats the perfect compliment to Object Desktop! My system LOVES the new card :) I am gonna finally get a screen shot of my Desktop soon and post it :D Anne

OH man!! I am sooo stoked!! I got an nVidia 8800 GTS 512 Video card and it brought my WEI from 3.2 up to 5.1!!! Now whats keepin me at 5.1 is my processor but Gods what a difference an upgrade in a video card does :) I am all an NVidia Girl now :D so WEI is 5.1 for me now yay much better than 3.2 Anne

Okay I broke down and bought Object Desktop last night. Other than SDC giving me some issues installing things and IP needing to be "readjusted" cause I updated it, everything is fixed and going well so far. I am still getting used to some of the programs that are NEW to me such as right click and Sound Packager but I am glad to have purchased it and look forward to messing with all the programs and future updates :)

ah okay killa.. thanks and Yeah I am definitely using SDC now and have been ever since I subscribed last year. That is if you mean Stardock Central. Hum and I am still curious about when OD 2008 will come out.. but its no big deal :) I will keep an eye on this post thanks again for all the advice :) Anne

Thanks everyone for the advice. I appreciate it :) hum another question.. Since I have WB, IP and Cursor XP on my system when I do upgrade to Object Desktop, should I delete all my stardock programs? Or would it be better to leave my system alone and just install Object Desktop and let it overrite whatever it might need to? Again thanks everyone for the advice :)

Hi there :) Good news.. I am getting the money together come Tax return and I am going to actually upgrade to Object Desktop shortly :) I am really excited. I have a few questions though. Firstly, when is Object Desktop 2008 due out? I am tryin to decide if it would be better for me to wait for 08 to buy Object Desktop or to go ahead and buy 07 and then upgrade when 08 comes out.. Also My System Vista Ulitimate 2.2 ghz dual core pro
