Other than the availablity for other versions of Vista, does Deskscapes 2 bring anything new to the table at all? As a multi-monitor user, I would really like some of the following options: The abilty to run a dream on just one of my monitors rather than both, and use wallpaper on the other; the ability to run a different dream on each monitor; the ability to prevent the dream pausing on the alternate screen when I maximise a window in the primary.

Has no one at stardock been able to replicate this? Can I at least hear that someone has filed this as a bug report, since I took the time to describe it?
I should add that the "Please click here" link displayed under the message in the sidebar does not work; it goes to a 404 error.
I just downloaded the beta of DesktopX, and am finding that I am unable to get gadgets working in the sidebar. I even went as far as to follow the method layed out in the video on the front page of wincustomize for creating a new object and exporting it to the sidebar. Once the process has been completed, the object is installed to the sidebar, but then displays a message saying that DesktopX must be installed to use the gadget. It is installed, and running. What is the problem? I a
Podcast Vodcast Both irritating beyond belief. Mainly because they presuppose the use of a specific mass marketed device, nonwithstanding the fact that both can be used on any suitable generic media player. In fact, to call an extended soundfile or radioshow a 'podcast' is merely confusing to anyone not familiar with the dialect, and adds nothing to suitable synonyms for those that are.
No, they won't. Each monitor displays a repeat of the same dream; the dreams are not actually stretched over the entire set of displays - see my post here: Multi Monitor Setups
A couple of months ago I subscribed to object desktop after viewing the vista roadmap published on stardock.com. I'm using vista x64 ultimate edition. Program Promise &
Deskscapes supports multiple monitors already. The existing dynamic content is set to show the same thing on all monitors, but thats something that is decided by the content itself. If I wanted to I could have one monitor showing one thing and a second showing something different. Thank you for this response, but in reference to my original question at the top of the thread, is there any way that a user can designate a video based dream to appear on on
I'm surprised anyone is doing multi monitor. I have a reasonable setup with 3 monitors running on 2 ATI X800's, 1gb ram and 3ghz P4, but dreams in a multple monitor mode are horribly slow for me. It makes my system unusable. Works great if I turn off all but a single display. Is there some trick? I honestly don't mean to brag here, but my specs are around double that. You can call it a "tric
If that's the case, then it is a real shame - programs like Stardocks are to a large extent targeted at the enthusiast community, and so they should cater for us adequately...
...Presumably it would be less demanding to use a Dream on one monitor, and a static background on the other than to put the same Dream on both monitors, as is currently happening.
I've got the latest beta of ultramon, released last night. Unfortunately, it doesn't support Dreams in any way.
I'm currently using a multimonitor setup - I have a 24", and a 17" in portrait mode at the side of it. I'm using an Nvidia 8800 GTS 320MB. I am able to run dreams on both screens, but it has to be the same dream, which obviously looks daft if it is a dream with some sort of central focal point, as it is appearing twice. I'm curious to know if there are any plans to implement some level of support for multi monitor setups - ideally the ability to run a different dream on each
Hi, I've been using the latest beta of deskscapes with the revolving earth dynamic background for a few days and have a few comments to offer. At the moment, right clicking on the desktop causes Microsoft Live Messenger (latest version) to move to Busy status, until some other application is brought to the front. Also, I have a dual monitor setup - one of them is a 24" at 1920*1200, and the other is a 17" mounted in portrait mode beside it at 1024*1280. I'm using a 8800 GTS,
