you could do Eulerian Analysis to convert the function DG uses into the type of recurrence relation you've listed Zechnophone (its a first order RR with constant coefficients). however, the function DG is coded for is a variation on a natural log function. interesting thing to note about it is that negative armor values do exist in the game so the armor value called "0" on the character sheet actually isn't the real zero, mathematically speaking, its more like the 1 on the independent axis.&n

i think all of this advice is of the wrong type. you can personally play perfectly and be totally dominant but because your AI team-mates are so badly handicapped in the single player tournament you are almost guaranteed to lose certain game types on certain maps. there's almost nothing that can be done.

here's the long and the short of it though. increases in mitigation are compounded on top of existing mitigation. for example: you have 100 health and are taking 10 dps, your time to live is 10 seconds. if you go from 0% mit to 10% mit you are now taking 9 dps and your time to live went up to just a bit over 11 seconds, an increase in time to live of just about 10% now assume you have have 50% mi

dear god not this again. i promise ill post again later with more details so i don't end up just purely complaining, but please please please think more about the mathematical interpretation of these numbers. you're currently very wrong. you have graphed the quantity "% damage reduced" which is a meaningless quantity with a purely mathematical unit of measure (1/%damage). what you should instead graph is the quantity "time to live", which is a very meaningful quan

the appropriate response to a troll is to report them for trolling. don't ever reply directly to them though or you're no better than they are.

she's almost incapable of solo killing another Demigod. she's a fantastic team-mate and great at lane control. she has a bit of a health deficit though and uses alot of mana. still, amazing support DG when paired with a good partner.

worth noting there are undocumented scalar decreases on proc rates for Demigods with ranged ranged auto-attacks. for example, Regulus proc rate with Wyrmskin Handguards is like 9%, not the advertised 15%. i don't have specific numbers for eveything but this is in general a true statement. i understand doing this for balancing concerns, however, in addition to raw stats adjustment many many many items need improved in game documentation. players should have a bette

soul power affects Oak's own melee weapon swing, that is all. in my original post the quantity i've calld "buff level base" is identical with your number of ranks in Soul Power. the buff granted by soul power comes only in chunks of 20 weapon damage, depending on how many spirits you have out (in multiples of 3). note that there are two separate "buff sources" from Soul Power, if you want to look at it that way. </p

10. How should minions be altered? Specifically, should they be nerfed or buffed? If so, how and why? the Idol summons seem fine, though minotaurs are a bit weak, but at least they're cheap to make up for it. Oak's Spirits and Erebus' Nightwalkers are both very good and need little to no adjustment. Sedna's Yetis and Queen's Shamblers are both horrifyingly bad and need massive buffs. I woul

2. Several of the maps have obvious flaws. How can we make the maps more balanced with the least effort? someone should take Crucible out behind the shed and put it out of its misery. the map is irredemable in my opinion and should be scrapped entirely. i'd actually like to give massive props and a big recommendation to another forum poster who has done some great work on map designing. his stuff is very creative

1. Most of the items in the game could use some love. What are your thoughts on pricing, effects, and synergy? How can we make the items more dynamic with the least effort? the most obvious issues at the moment all resolve around the primacy of Health items above just about everything else. the inefficiency and genericness of many of the helms and gloves also contributes to this problem. at the moment almost any Demigod in the entire g

in another thread, our esteemed colleague Kestrel suggested we talk about something that actually matters. i whole heartedly agree. this is the list of topics he suggested [quote] Please take the following examples and make posts or comments about them at your leisure - 1. i'm not even one of those guys who plays multiple games a night on a pre-made team. i'm mostly a PUG warrior like alot of the guys who post here but i at least like to know what the fuck i'm talking about, especially when it comes to balance. Mines are so far from imbalanced its hilarious. and i completely agree that they're basically just a n00b unfriendly skill tester. if you don't know whats going on its easy to get nailed by them. if you do know its very easy

the mines are so far away from broken. of all the things to complain about, this one? really? its one of the best balanced and most useful skills in the game. for christ's sake just leave it. some things are allowed to be good. the unbalanced stuff (like the old pre-nerf Bite skill) is the stuff where the numbers are clearly out of whack with the rest of the game. but the mines aren't out of whack. they're right in there in the accepted normal range for mana and d

eh, i'm not much of a Reg player so take this with a grain of salt. but i really think AF is a waste. i've tried it and failed with it. maybe i just suck with the playstyle. on the other hand it just seems incredibly easy to be useful with Snipe and Mines. both of those skills present numerous opportunities for easy kills throughout the game. AF just feels like you're waiting around for artifacts and incredibly underpowered before you'e got like at least a Mageslayer and Slayer's Wraps.

very good post. i'd like to add a bit about interrupting item activations, which is also very important and pretty easy to do. Teleport Scrolls - blue swirly beneath their feet. Activated Special Effects Items - they rub their hands together for a few seconds while charging up. Potions - sometimes you'll see hand rubbing, but not always, conspicuous standing still and not auto-attacking though </p

Mines are for Burst Damage. if your opponents are dumb you can also use them to set traps. its easy to use them as Grenades, its an extremely offensive skill in my opinion. Regulus mainly chooses between Sustained DPS (Angelic Fury/AA build) and burst damage (Mines/Mark/Snipe build). I don't see him as a defensive character at all. he's always squishy. he has neglible team support ability (besides damage and slows, but thats more like offense as the best defense).

definitely on the wrong side of the rock>scissors>paper on this one. not alot you can do. best bet is to focus attack one of the Erebus' and try to knock him out early. you'll have to Tank for the team while Regulus focuses on bursting them down with Mines and MotB. not sure an AA Reg can really get the job done. at the point in the game you got to, with the specs you chose, it might have already been too late.

the best way to level at a good pace is to farm creep waves in a lane. for most of the game you'll be competing against the other demigods for lane dominance. you'll gain experience if you're near an enemy creep when it dies. you'll gain gold in addition to that experience if you damaged the creep by at least 25% of its health. (you'll still get experience even if you didn't touch the thing at all). in order to maintain your lane staying power you'll need to have

right, well the description in game says Oak has poor burst damage but thats just patently false. A Penitence/Raise Dead/Surge build can deal extreme damage in short bursts (while the Penitence debuff and the Surge buff is up). so what makes you think the descriptions some game developer wrote are the final word on how the DG's perform or even on how they were intended to perform?

the Beast build isn't terrible. i think it would work better if you developed Ooze at some point. It can be developed earlier or later depending on game circumstances but i think its a mistake to not include it anywhere in the build order. the Regulus build seems incredibly poor. 1 point in Snipe for harassment and assist credit is obviously very important. most Mines builds will also make sure to get Mark of the Betrayer for the extra slowing and burst damag
