Hauberk is definitely the least efficient Health item in its price class. Unbreakable Boots are better, Nimoth Chestguard is better. if you've already got both of those it can be worth it to get a Hauberk (especially if you're a general and you need minion health) but usually i skip it and continue saving for a Narmoth's Ring. or put the gold into the citadel.

for Oak, starting items: Blood of the Fallen (favor) Idol Priests then buy Banded Armor and Scaled Helm as your next two items, you'll get cash for that very quickly. within the first 5 minutes or sooner. you'll need at least rank 1 Shield to escape the pain train when they decide to focus fire someone. wait to Shield until after they've used Spit and Bite though so you can clear the debuffs. desp
let good grammar not be wasted on meaningless style elements such as leading caps. Strunk & White got nothing on me. i also tend to avoid capping the first person pronoun because its just a dumb pronoun, its not really my name.
i tried it in a few games vs. CPU today just to see if it really does have a noticeable impact. i found that it does not. slowing auto-attacks by 30% for the first few seconds of a battle is going to save you somewhere in the range of about 200-300 damage (depending on armor levels, enemy attack speed and damage, being in melee range, etc.) its really a very small amount and not all enemy DG's will actually care that much. doesn't effect their minions or d
not sure if this is what cwsault was getting at but this is a good way to down towers as Erebus. you need level 1 mist and you have to follow a creep wave in to the tower. this definitely means wiping out the enemy creep wave on the way in so your whole creep wave gets their in tact. you also need at least 1 point in Coven (so you can get more than 2 Nightwalkers) but the more points in minion skills the better. you just park it at the tower
i don't mean to demean you at all, its good work. but i think its fair to question the methodology. i tend to do my analysis slightly differently. your methodology was generally treating all damage as smooth continuous functions, which is close enough to get some good numbers from. but i don't like to do it this way just because the set isn't continuous, its really composed of lots of discreet "chunks" of damage. each one of these chunks can be given due considera
as much as i appreciate the hard work you've done, and the certain pieces of useful information that have come out of it (such as DPS contribution of shoulder upgrades on a single target), i don't at all think the comparisons of total DPS in your analysis are especially useful due to certain oversights.
could be some undocumented magic resistance for some reason. has anyone checked whether or not creeps gain hidden magic resistance from the creep armor upgrade at the citadel?
thank god. finally.
leaving out armor is a massive oversight that makes the test not particularly useful. most DG's will have about 35% armor with just a Nimoth Chestguard. numbers near 45% are common if you've bought a larger armor piece. the armor effect alone gives enormous additional weight to Ooze and Spit and takes away a huge amount from Wrath and also from Rook's Shoulder Weapons. i'm also not sure what you've done in terms of figuring Wrath's gap between cooldown and duratio
Warlord's Punisher can be surprisingly effective. it will actualyl counter a spell if you drain the mana necessary while the spell is charging up, just like an Interrupt. hard to use of course since you're never sure just how much mana the enemy really has. its a good harassment tool though. and the AoE effect is very nice for creep farming. not a bad item all things considered.
what makes you think he isn't supposed to be the best anti-tower DG? what else is enhanced range even for? you present this like its a problem. its not a problem. its just a quirk. i mean, you could write a post called "the problem with Sedna" and then go say something like "Sedna heals the best, clearly a problem." every DG has strengths and weaknesses. outranging towers (and other DGs) is Regulus' strength. not a pro
uh...what would happen if you factored in Spit instead of Bestial Wrath. Wrath is like 100% useless and requires some absurdly high base weapon damage to outperform spit. last time i crunched numbers comparing those two skills i found that it takes something like 450 base weapon DPS (thats per second, not per swing) for Wrath to be better. in other words its not even close until you're already like level 18 with Ashkandor. skill is almost useless.
nice guide. i havent tried the build, but this was well written.
1) none of us on the General forums can help you. also, none of us care. 2) contact [email protected] for a refund. don't talk to anyone else about this because none of us care. 3) its your computer. this game is fairly stable as far as games go. if it crashed for EVERYONE it would be bad software. since its mostly just crashing for you it means there's something on your system that it doesn't get along with. try tinkering with some setti
developing Ooze as a late-game tool is a viable strategy for Spit builds. 15 is definitely very lategame but you still need to be able to win those final confrontations that can be totally decisive. not all matches are obviously decided by that time. so even if you start developing Ooze as late as level 11 or 12 it can still be important to have it. lately i've been favoring beginning Ooze hybridizing at level 8 instead though, or even as early as level 6 on a map
i just don't see the appeal of a 1on1 game. i mean, i agree that in 1on1 confrontations in normal games Sedna is great, maybe the best. but thats not really what this thread was about. who chooses to play Demigod 1on1? i don't get it. i'd never choose to play the game that way.
how else does a community establish its social norms besides from persecuting those who violate them? those who do shameful things should be shamed. publically.
the only trick with Spit vs. Sedna is that you can't open with it, as you usually do. wait until after the first heal. then Spit. interrupt the second Heal with Foul Grasp. that should get the kill most of the time.
seems like a bug but i dont see this is a big deal. should be fixed i guess but its mostly an oddity.
SYGIGH -" screw you guys i'm going home", most frequently said before rage quitting.
i've always liked it. previously seemed more like a late game point to pick up to counter the powerful healing effect of High Priests or Bishops. now with the Priest Reinforcements being used more it might be good to get Counter-Healing significantly earlier.
two strategies work 1) run her out of mana - requires patience and a hefty mana supply to keep the Spit coming. 2) ambush her and kill with burst damage - requires good timing and map positioning. make sure you stop her Heal with Foul Grasp
