Those sorts of comments are more than likely going to be removed as soon as they are pointed out to a site admin I'd guess. But you're right, it's not the way to comment. I think you handled your responses very well though
Great to see the My Skins page. However, I do like to see the application icon in the My Skins list (as on the existing site). Some of us create skins for more than one application using the same skin name
Although I haven't used Winamp in a very long time, this is a sad moment for skinning I think. I can recall a similar type of event when Lycos took over Sonique :(
I think ports are a necessity actually and someone has to do them. Quite often when you create something like a WindowBlinds skin you'll get requests for matching skins for applications like Sysmetrix or Rainlender (if you didn't make them already ;)). People who therefore create ports and upload them are completing their own themed system and helping others possibly do the same. I don't think originality should be an issue when talking about ports. T

Especially point 2 ;) In regards to point 3, I've actually written to at least three PC mags here (Australia) in regards to WindowBlinds and skinning in general with little to no interest to my questions. I don't know how much interest there is in skinning amongst the general PC using community. It would be interesting to find out how effective magazine advertising would be.

I'm hoping that alpha transparency becomes available to more skinnables in the near future. That's the coolest thing I've seen in skinning since the I first saw it on Sonique 2. Drop shadows and anti-aliased skins. It doesn't get better for me :)

It was good to read your comments on the Toolbar Icons etc as I feel the same way. I like to skin them so that my skin is 'complete', but I don't know that I could come up with something new each time. I have no idea I just know SkinStudio allows me to export the Toolbars and Progress Animations from my WindowBlinds skins. If you've downloaded my WindowBlinds skins then you already have the Toolbars and Progress Animations. Otherwise I'd guess that if you used the WindowBlinds Configuration window you could use the 'Install skin from disk' feature to install them? Sorry I'm not certain.

CodF4ther - If you have SkinStudio you can open up some of your skins and edit the settings for the animations and icons. In the tree view, look for 'Animations Skin Info' and 'Toolbar Icons Skin Info'. Then change them from the default text to the name of the skin (or something else you'll recognise I guess).
