Actually MD5 is a cryptographic hash function, read http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MD5 One of its uses is to ensure the integrity of a file. To do so, the MD5 sum of each file is calculated and compared with an official list of hashes, for example provided by the Impulse servers. MD5 hashes not matching means that the files have been modified. Common reasons why files get modified without explicit user action: - Virus or other malware infecting the

Even with death penalty set to draconic I still think they are not harsh enough. Good players simply do not die 1v1. And in 2v2 and higher situation an equal number of players in each team dies. Game makers should not balance games around the skill level of noobs and casuals (for those there is The Sims 2009) , they should cater for the highly skilled and experienced gamers. Games tend to stagnate quickly if the skilled people leave because the ga
Uh oh, Brad, are you touching yourself at night or what do you need the pr0n for? Don't do that, the last guy that did became an Unclean Beast :P
Don't use shatter for damage. Use it for interrupts only. Nothing more fun than interrupting a Rook's Hammer Slam or any DG trying to teleport out. Using shatter for damage is so much wasted potential. Don't try to kill enemies on your own, Ice TB really shines with assists. Just harrass your enemy. Go to a lane, wait for creep wave, rain it down from max range, retreat a bit. Starting with level 4 that will completely kill the wave. Simply don't let enemy get near you. Starti
If your computer gets too hot, add more fans. In case of an overheating laptop, it's a clear design failure. You want to return it and get your money back. Buy a proper laptop instead. CPUs and graphic chips have a TDP, a thermal design power. It's the maximum amount of power they can draw. The built-in cooling has to designed to cope with the TDP sum of all components. Many vendors use insufficient cooling because it's cheaper. They hope that Joe average doesn't notic
In a recent game the entire enemy team was stacking stun/slow items. Getting away from them was impossible, felt like my demigod wasn't moving at all, slowed down that much. Eventually won though, when we got giants they only had warscore of 8 ;)
In the Demigod Journals Brad has mentioned some details on the upcoming patch GPG is working on. One of the things that will get improved is the ingame netcode (as opposed to all the lobby netcode changes which have been happening before). Just wait a bit. Hopefully next week (the one that starts in about 2 hours and 17 minutes as of writing this) the patch gets out. Depends on how much their QA department complains ;)
I'm terribly sorry, but each and all of my previous teammates were horrible players. I made so many screenshots that my computer exploded so all proof is lost. Please just promote me to godhood, I can then swing the ban hammer myself if needed.
Console players MUST NOT join the regular players online. For the very simple reason that console players cannot type, they have no keyboard. Talking to them is harder than teaching a stone a foreign language. That said I do believe that Demigod has too much depth in gameplay, it would overwhelm the mental capabilities of console players.
I'd like the announcer to become really really REALLY mad at people that die. "Oh my Demigod, you SUCK!" And the other team should get "Congratulations, the forces of light have a feeder!"
I scream, you scream, we all scream for ICE cream :P Fire has the potential for a lot of damage in a short amount of time. Ice has a ranged AoE with nice damage, a stun and a disable (if you use shatter for damage you are doing it wrong). The various hybrid builds have the best of both worlds though aren't masters of either. What it boils down to is taste. Personally I'm always playing Ice TB (and always TB on top of it), I found it to be most effective for my o
I like the idea. Personally I'd always go with the Support role. On its own the AI is toast regardless what it is doing. Basically the AI needs a human bodyguard/babysitter.
Heroes like UB and Sedna are basically overpowered due to the amount of +% speed modifiers they can get.
Their speed is fine, learn to live with it. If they are stacking speed, you can stack hp and damage. They might reach you but cannot kill you and eventually they need to run away to regenerate. Then you can slowly advance on your lane. Rinse and repeat.
Also nerf UB's stun so it stuns for less time.
Actually the UB stun is both ways, UB
Rule #1: "Obey me, I is your new dictator!". Noobs should always listen to what an experienced player says.
1. If you open ports 6112 to 6200 and port forward them to your IP on your router (this is for people who are familiar with this stuff) you'll get what is called direct connect.
Is there a way to specify a different range of ports? I have a public Internet address from my ISP (University) and many many thousands of available ports. It's just that a few incoming ports are blocked, including quite some in the 6112-6200 range. But for example the who
Please keep up the status reports.
With the new patch out I've unsuccessfully tried to play Pantheon. First two times game just didn't start, even though all players appeared to have connected to each other successfully. The other times, AI players showed up on the connection info dialog, I immediately canceled out of those games. If I play online then it's not for fun but for competitive play. Sadly that's not possible with AI players around, they drag every
I like the idea and the concept. Bit much stolen from PotC though :P If dark sight gets a pirate, light side needs a ninja.
This game has seen enough piracy already
ymmd
I am not human, I am Raknor. Describing my mysterious ways transcends the meaning of words.
Uahhahhhahahaha, goatse
P5yy is complaining about a genuine quitter. I was in that game too and was causing the quitter to surrender. t was my homeworld - roid - volcanic - roid - enemy homeworld. I met that quitter on the volcanic very few minutes into the game, killed his cap and the next second he surrendered.
Farewell Tyr, we'll miss you. :(
Hmm just had another crash myself...
I have to agree with tyr222 and Flipkik. Ironclad, this is your personal wakeup call! You need to fix ICO or you'll lose players. You absolutely need to implement the following changes ASAP. We, the online players, do not care if that delays Entrenchment another half year, all we care for is a solid online experience. - Fix ICO stability issues. - No more unscheduled maintenance - If there's maintenance, add some broadcast
