I get this crap, and I didn't play the betas.

While it's harder to manage then in DA, it's still pretty simple. All you need to do now is actually pay attention to the maintenance cost of each improvement. For example, other than the first 5-7ish planets you should colonize, don't colonize another, unless you have 10bc/week to spare(cost of initial colony.) And be careful about building alot of research centers early on, cause they can cost alot. You should also check out that guys suggestion, and see if it works for you.
I noticed this too, as the Terran Alliance though. Something that would of took 6 turns jumped to 12 after I started getting research treaties. Shouldn't that decrease time, not make it longer? I smell a bug!
It's more than "minor", imo. They shouldn't have boasted "The new planet surfaces are vastly improved", if all they did was draw some new maps, and let the computer place tiles stupidly. Any modder with time and skill can make new ones, so I hardly see any improvement, if it's still randomized. I don't mean to complain..but considering what they can do, I don't see why this isn't "vastly improved", like they claimed it to be. :/
So were stuck with this absurd placement? With there only being so many maps, can't they assign each one specific areas that will be usable? I hardly believe this would be a drag on many computers, but if so, can we have a choice to enable a more process using placement? (Like the advanced AI. It can be a drag on comps, but we still have the choice to use it.) If thats too much to ask for, can you ATLEAST fix the homeworlds? Oh, and I don't think the planet quality bonus is working.. besides tha
Did you completely remove the beta, before installing the real TotA? I'm not sure thats it, but I've read if you don't do that, it will mess things up.
Sweet, it works. Thanks.
Okay hi. I've been playing around, and I've noticed the computer is quite retarded when placing usable tiles. First of all, on Earth with the green thumb bonus, I start with a usable tile in ANTARTICA. Wtf? How can THAT be usable, and lets say, Australia not be? Looking past that, I've noticed some dumb placement on random worlds too, such as this one. Notice that whole continent not being usable, but the icecap
Standard.
Hi, I finally got TotA today, and I'm having trouble getting a custom map to load. I dled the Near Map from the library, and even made my own, but when I try to play them, I can't find em anywhere. On newgame, I looked in Custom Maps, but couldn't find either. I put them both in My Games> GC2Twilight > Custom Maps. Thanks for the help.
Okay hi. A week ago I tried to order Twilight of the Arnor with a VISA creditcard giftcard, but it declined me for not having the right name. I figured out they changed how the cards work, and after waiting a week to get my money back, I'm ready to try again. When it tells you "Cardholder Name; † As printed exactly on Credit Card", do I type GIFT CARD RECIPIENT as it says ON the card, or the name I registered the card under? I'm guessing the second one,
I haven't bought TotA yet, cause I'm awaiting a reply from support, but if it's taking you 50 turns to research techs like that, you might wanna develop an "academy planet", or two. No clue what to suggest with the economy.
It's still charged 30$ from Stardock, and no game. :/ Edit: Okay, it's tuesday now, and your company still has my 30$, so ya know, why don't you just give me what you CHARGED me for?
I've already called the number, and it said the remaining balance was 20$(What it would have been if it ordered.) I also looked online, and it says I purchased something that costs 29.95 from Stardock Systems. So, I don't know what went wrong. But I'll contact the support email.
Now it's saying I ordered it, and the card balance says 20$, but it never actually ORDERED, cause it DENIED me every time. But if it ordered it, I would have got an email, or something. Edit: Should I post a screen shot of the Visa site saying it charged?
Yep. It's got 50$, and the game is 30. Just denied me again, and it's brand new. :/
Okay hi. I just tried to order Twilight with one of those Visa creditcard giftcards(parents wont let me use theirs), and it denied me, twice. I don't see why, cause I used the SAME exact method to order Windows Blinds, so whats up? Why can't I buy the game?
Is this TotA or DA? With DA unpatched, you can EASILY trade for planets. The patches fixed this "bug."
What are your system specs? Do you have a lot of background programs running?
Looks great, and can't wait to play it. I saw that it says you made ship graphics better, and made the memory usage less, but about that Immense galaxy size, did you guys fix the memory leakage that makes finishing a game on a huge map nearly impossible without multiple "out of memory" errors? Oh, and we already have that History menu, and that "new" event you have posted. >_>
This..sttill crashes explorer all the fucking time... can I just get a exe for a old stable version emailed to me? I was gonna quit uninstall, and go back to aero, but with vistaglazz SP1 in beta, I can't.
Kay, I'll try it.
How the hell can you compare Sins to that WH40K knockoff?? Besides the real time part, and resource aspect, they are nothing alike.
...End of April. I still remember getting the email, claiming it would be released NOVEMBER, LAST YEAR. D:
Thanks for the reply, but I don't think it's messed up files, or whatever. I only started getting these when I changed my paging file size, and I haven't updated the game in a month. :x
