I bought a new monitor that is 1980 x 1080 resolution (default). When I load my GalCiv II, I can hear it play but I can't see anything because it is configured for my old 1650 x 1080 (or something like 1200) resolution. How can I configure my GalCiv II for a higher resolution, like 1980 x 1080, without starting the program? I would like to be able to open a config. sys file for GalCiv and edit a line to change the resolution. I know many of you out there ar

Look, no pride here. I loose everytime I play this game. Can someone tell me how I should advance the TEC? What is good beginner Map? I will take any help at this point. If it keeps defeating me, I will have to go back to GalCiv 2. Thanks, Aaron
There was some talk about an expansion pack comeing in the "...very near future"(1) in an April WIRED magazine blog. Is there any truth to this? If so where can I get more info? Thanks, Aaron "most of my games last 15 minutes, but I loose." 1. http://blog.wired.com/games/2008/04/sins-of-a-solar.html

Well, a series of games called "Combat Mission" (released a few years ago), were turn-based/ RTS hybrids set in WW2 Eueropean theater. They did a nice job of allowing the players to give orders, then executed all sides simultaiously for 60 seconds. During which no one could change their commands. Now that kind of game system in SSE would make each game last much longer. And boring. So maybe if only the battles were turn based... I'm still brian-storming on how to make this work.<br/
I would like a turn-based mod for this game converting this RTS into a GalCiv style game play. I am posting this to "test the waters" to see how many other people prefer the turn-based style over RTS. SSE is a beautiful game and the "Unrivalled Scale" description is an understatment. My mind is boggled by the shear size of this game. Great job on build a fantastic game that I expect will win lots of awards. Sincerely, Flash
