I'm playing the game here at work on the sly (naughty i know!), but when i am alt tab'd away from GalCiv II i notice that the turn doesn't not continue and in order for it to complete i have to focus on the screen. Is there a way of getting the game to keep on doing the AI's turns when i am alt-tab'd? Regards Maasu

I played a customermised one called 'Chokepoint' on the downloads section. I am in the middle of a 5v5, 4 medium AI and me (all Tec) versus 3 Hard AI and 2 Medium (all Vasari). It's an epic game, with all 10 fleets converging the 4 systems around the star, been going on for a few days now. I'd recommend it to anyone.

Detach one third of your fleet facing the TEC and move it around to hit the Vasari along with your ally (and get your ally to build a proper fleet, these guys are clearly capable of handling LRM spamming). Hide the remainder of the fleet facing the TEC a system away (but lined up so they can immediatley phase back to your the front line). It may give the indication that you have decided to hit the other enemy with everything, essentially giving up on the TEC. He'll probably try
Doesn anyone remember the game Imerium Galactica II?That was a great 4X Space game back in the day..., I was really disappointed when the the 3rd one was cancelled, and then Nexus 2 was later cancelled... why do space games have it so tough?
Yeah it was a fantastic game, i stumbled upon the first one by accident, got in a 3 for 1 offer. Then noticed a week later the second one on teh shelves.
"Good American Values" involves bombarding those who offend us with cruise missiles. ... pleaze : no radical, un-American, commie propaganda on a game forum ...
Posting "Good American Values" on a forum these days isn't going to invite much else, although i like how you put the word propoganda in there, along with commie and "un-american".

Stardocks other product, Galatic Civilizations was great for showing off other people's AARs and reading the stories of their games, it's a good way to pick up on tactics and also a nice way to pass the time at work when things are a little slow :-). I've checked the Fan Submission forum section, but cannot seem to find anything other than short stories (which are great by the way). Anyone know which forum section i should be looking for? Indeed if there isn't a specified se

Hello, I've played two games of Sins so far, on rather large maps (you know the epic scenario's that last you a couple of days) and have had great fun in getting to grips with the game. I'm now interested in moving into MP, however i'd like to do so with a bunch of people that i know aren't just going to quit b/c they lose the first skirmish. I am from the UK, so i'd be looking for fellow EU players (or people from other timezones

I dunno why people are whining about backstabbing. If you cannot be botehred with it don't play a free for all, have set teams. Sure i can understand that it can be fustrating but at the end of teh day, just don't play a FFA if you can't handle politics. Sunesen mate, your game sounded classic, and i think is a perfect example of how to take backstabbing. Makes me want to leap out of my seat, drive home from work and fire up Sins :D.

This will bring you up to speed with events, and after this post i will be able to include screenshots of the game. As i now have an extensive collection. The fact that the Dregin had now entered the war presented serious issues for myself. Them and the Korath always come out on top in my games, their early aggresive nature seems to have the AI beaten every time, and i must admit myself included on the odd occastion. I was trying to scout out Korath and Dregin positions,

I suspect that every time you do something in game, each and every one of the AI will determine whether or not they themselves need to adjust their game plan accordingly. Just a hunch though.

Thx for the feedback hydro and so soon! Unfortunatley, no screenshots are available up until the point of the game i am currently at (which is quite far advanced into this war). I have begun to assemble a libary now of them and will include them once im up to that point in my AAR. I had never planned on such an AAR but this game has been so much fun and eventful i felt it had to be wrot

A bit of an In Character Analogy of the situations not exactly Reports had been sketchy, some civilian news networks report massive victories for the Korath all across the Torian border, others said that the fighting was still taking place. The Fatal Consulate sent a scout or two and confirmed the worst, the Torains were massivley under prepared and ultimatley their only hope lay in the Iconian and Altarian response, which comming from the nroth, would take a long time

NOTE: I played Gal Civ back at university and picked up GC:2 when it was released. I find games like these fantastic to play and have wasted many hours on the likes of Civ, MoO and Birth of the Federation, although i've never been that good at them, i thourougly enjoy getting my ass kicked . About a month ago i got DA, but was unable to play it due to a heavy work schedule. The

Certainly an epic and sounds like an ejoyable game. Guessing it was on ahuge galaxy given the number of planets involved . Noticing your comment regarding the Altarian and the Iconians, they ally a lot b/c they are both aligned to good. I suspect you noticed their strength b/c of the lack fo Korath and Dreginer involved in your game, they ususally deal with Iconian and Altarians very
