If you're referring to the up and down width of your taskbar, then try unlocking your taskbar(right click on it and select "unlock"), then put your cursor over it until it is a double ended arrow, and drag it down to reduce its size.

Kona0197 - 12/21/2003 10:51:34 PM Travis freeram xp only frees ram when it gets low. this is true Kona0197. But, doesn't freeing up ram improve system performance thus speeding things up a bit? [Message Edited]

RICHARD MOHLER This may sound like a stupid question, but when you say you're seeing a plain gray bar (taskbar), do you have any windows open? The cp5 screenshot shows open windows and open programs, thus putting blue colored task buttons on the taskbar. If you open a window, while you have the skin applied, does it look like the screenshot? With no open windows or programs, the taskbar will look all gray.

If I'm not mistaken, the "compact" start menu feature is restricted to WB4 and Winxp. You can change it yourself in skin studio, (if you have it) by making the width of the places list (right side) smaller. You may have to adjust some graphics to do this. However.to do this on every skin you download would be tedious work. This feature is is done (or not done) by the author of the skin. It is not a feature that you can select that will affect all your skins. <img src="http://images.stardock

My point was not that Spyderbyte is legally guilty of any thing. Obviously he has the right to speak out. My point was is that, ethically and morally this post is wrong. It gives no consideration what-so-ever to this couple who are already probably, shamed and embarrased out of thier minds. Not only was the incident described, but the persons geographical location and public title was revealed. Freedom of speech is a wonderful thing, but one should think of how it will impact on a person.

If you are sure it's the content margins (and I think it is ) , they need to be brought out. In other words bring them out closer to 0. Actually, if you set them all at 0, that should do it.

It would help if you could show us a screenshot of the problem. Take a screenshot and upload it to your profile. I can't be sure, but based on the info you gave, it sounds like the content margins on the buttons need to be extended out a bit. A screenshot would sure help though.

To elaberate on what Koasati said....Some skins do not have toolbar icons included that were modified/skinned by the author. In such a case, Windows will use the default toolbar icons. Some authors might not want to skin the toolbar icons for various reasons. Myself... I have tried my hand at skinning them but I guess I just don't have the knack for it, therefore they are not included with my skins.

https://www.wincustomize.com/index.asp?Cmd=about Here is a link that explains the Apprentice qualifications. When I made my first WB skin, I had no idea what I was doing. But I played around with skin studio and my paint shop pro and learned how to use both. That was 3/2003. Today I have 18 skins posted on this sight, and three that I have taken down, and over 91,000 downloads. Im far from being as good as "the classic skinners", but I love to keep practicing and learning. If you're
