Also, there are quite a few other threads related to bootskins. You may want to check them out.

I have verizon DSL also and as soon as I boot up my computer I'm online. This is so because I configured it to connect on boot up. I guess I just assumed most people did this so they do have an always on connection. People with dial up obviously would have to connect to retrieve anything from the web. You said : "Whit my virzon DSL disconnected as it's not an always on service. I get a popup in the center of my screen that has Stardock Central Tray as the header and an ex
he he.. I knew how this thread was gonna go the minute I saw it posted.
I don't know why this is occurring , possibly some of the files corrupted during an upgrade. Have you upgraded the prog since installing? Why don't yopu try uninstalling the packages that don't work and re-install them again and see if that helps.
If your dsl is disconnected then how do you expect to recieve updates from SDC? SDC needs to connect to the internet to retrive the updates. Also, How is it that your DSL is not always connected? DSL's are supposed to be ( Ithought) an always on service. If you try to retrieve updates when you are connected and you can't, and you're still getting those error messages,I suggest you try uninstalling and re-installing SDC.
changing your desktop font should not force WB to stop skinning. Try re-booting your computer, then if you still have problems, come back to this thread, and we'll try to figure it out for you.
Ramdisk creates a virtual drive (fake drive), and uses that drive to store info. In short, gives your system (hopefully) a little more power, and more space to store data
Night all. And thank you
Thanks for all your input everybody, however, I'm still not clear on the issue. I will read over the Copyright law that oSoShameless provided (thank you). But from what I have read so far and because WC does seem to be accepting submission without apparent copyright permissions, and because nothing that I upload here is for sale anyway, so I will not be profiting from anything ,then I'm not going to worry about too much. Does that make sense? I'm tired <img src="http://images.stardock.com/
Just joking with you Travis. I read on another post that you said you had a cold
Travis Thompson Why aren't you in bed with a hot tadi and vicks vapor rub?
3 by Admin Jafo - 11/15/2003 10:09:03 PM US copyright interpretations/inclusions allow for 'fair-use' which is the apparent justification for 'fan-art' as it's called.but Wincustomize.com [as is the case with most similar sites] is hosted in the US so theirs is the accepted protocol. <TABLE cellpadding=8 width="95%" align=center bgColor=#FFF394
Let me start by saying that my intention is not to single out or point the finger at anyone. I just want to be clear on this copyright thing. I see submissions being uploaded (in a lot of the libraries, but especially the bootskin library) that contain images that I would think would be copyrighted. Cartoon characters, movie stars, etc. I think I may have even violated the copyright law by using the microsft flag logo. Can someone please clarify for me what is violating this copyright law an
Is there a setting in PSP wher eyou can tell it to copy/capture to the system clip board? No, there is not. But "printscreen" as I said does the same thing, and it works well between instances of PSP. Its just a little bit of a pain, because you're capturing everything on your desktop, then you have to crop the image to get the portion you want
There have been threads about this before. People say that if you put shell edit and/or shell open at the top of the image editors list (in preferences), then you wont keep getting multiple instances of your image editor opening up all over the place. However this has never worked for me. I do exactly what Fuzzy says. I open up PSP 7 and then retrieve the images from the "open" button . And you are right , the "copy" feature doesnt work well (if at all) between instances of the prog. But
You'll need to define the horiz. and vert. starting points of the progress bar as well as its width. Also, the progress bar .bmp, as with the bootskin needs to be 4 bit 16 colors.
The bmp's have to be 4 bit, otherwise , everything else looks ok.
or....maybe listen to yrag. He probably is wiser than me (I).
by Citizen webgizmos - 11/14/2003 12:19:55 AM ok...just tried to restore WindowBlinds4 adn everything but one file was successfully restored. The file C:\Program Files\Stardock\SDCentral\temp\Base\Blackcomb\activeontop.bm_failed to restore...restore aborted. Says file not found? I could be wrong, but I think thats part of one of the default s
Hey yrag, you beat me to it.
Yahoo! If you are sure you've been archiving the apps, then right click on WB (within stardock central)and choose "restore existing". This should bring up a dialog box with all your archived apps. Scroll down untill you find the WB version that you want. What kind of problems are you having with WB4.19 anyway?
If you by any chance have "archive apps before updating" checked (in stardock central tools-->settings), then you can uninstall WB4.19 and go back to 4.1. If you don't have this checked , then I think you're sort out of luck. [Message Edited]
Glad you found it. Happy skinning
