BTW webgizmos -when you do find or re-install SS, I suggest you drag its icon onto your start menu or quick lauch bar so you don't loose it again.

No. What Im saying is if you find it in your all programs--->stardock, or all prog--->object desktop dir. , then you have it. Just double click on skinstudio.exe. If you say you didnt uninstall it, then it still should be on your computer. But if you did inadvertantly uninstall it, then simply reinstall it from stardock central.
Look in All prog--->stardock. Thats where mine are. You can also do a search for skinstdio.exe
Heres a link to a page where youll find Photo Plus, a free graphics program. (and a few other free programs you might be interested in). The free programs dont have all the bells and whistles that PSP and PS have,...but they're free. Personally I use ms paint and PSP7 . If you do a google search for free graphic editors/programs, you might frind a few others.
Just doubleclick on the .bootskin file. It works for me
joey-716 - No one is going to laugh at you. You are asking a valid question. The answer however, is simple. When the comments window pops up, you'll see a section that says, "select a rating". Use the arrow beside the box to select a rating, then hit "submit Rating"
WHat I think is that people are making way too much of this UzEE issue. And he's probably just sitting back and loving it. To quote from other threads; "stop feeding the beast" . Get on with life here at WC and "let the admins take care of him"
10 by Skinner I.R. Brainiac - 11/9/2003 7:21:45 PM Its not feeding him that worries me...its changing his diaper
or should I say...that was his original spelling of his name.
BTW, it's UzEE
I totally agree! The more people respond to his foolishness, the more he'll keep haunting this site. The only problem is, he uses so many aliases, one never knows for sure that it's even him until it becomes apparent. For instance, YOU could be him! Or even ME!
Thanks for all your input everyone. I'm going to take my problem to the stardock newsgroups and try my luck there. (but ill still welcome any suggestions here) Pictoatus- looking forward to your new skin.
Two days ago, all of a sudden, I cant open up any files in skin studio. I keep getting this message: "Skin studio has detected that the skin has either a gap in the button numbering or the button count attribute has a wrong value" "Do you want skin studio to correct this problem for you?" This happens whenever I try to open any skin. And it doesent matter weather I choose yes or no to have skin studio correct it. Nothing happens either way. I get a blank skin with no attributes.
Sorry, I don't know anything about DX, but someone will come along who does. But if these are the same tooltips that Windows uses, I would love to know how to get rid of them . A thread was started on this subject some time ago, and I don't think anyones found the answer yet. [Message Edited]
If you mean the log0ff and or shutdown dialogs, there is no option to change this. I hope it's coming in a future version though. It WOULD be nice! If you are referring to the start panel logoff bar, then you'll find the option in SS: left pane: "start Panel"----->"bottom bar"--->right pane: "text settings" [Message Edited]
fuckition ???
Welcome and congrats Hippy!!
Yes, I'd like to know too.
Hey Brainiac. If you don,t mind me asking, What is the name of the service that u use that costs only $40 a month? We've been thinking about upgrading, but I've not yet heard of such an inexpensive deal as you have.
No problem Glad to help
In skin studio, look on the left tree. Find the XP shell section. (it is in there by default). Then, under the xp shell section, look for "special folders", then"control panel" (still on the left pane.) Then , after you select "control panel", look on the right tree for "colors". You can set the colors for the background, and the title (normal and mouseover).
Man your're fast Brain! Beat me to it.
Wow Michael, you're really bouncing around today! I see you here , then there, then there.....Ya know what? I guess that means I'm bouncing around too.
