Lev19 That is not a short start panel, it is a narrow start panel, and that is only achieved by downloading a WB skin that has that "compact" start menu. It is possible to "edit" a WB skin in skin studio, but you may need to change a handful of other features also to accomadate the change. Also, I think you need to have WB version 4 to be able to use this feature. Does that help?

Ditto! I agree with PixieChick .There's a lot of hurtful comments being posted when In fact the more experienced skinners should be giving helpful/constructive critism and advise. My feeling do not stem from any adverse comments I may have gotten; I can take it. But what a way for a brand new (and possibly sensitive) skinner to start out. Nasty/visious comments are either going to make or break a person.

Ok. My bad. I stand corrected. I just played with SS a bit. I took psp out of the list . and moved shell open to the top . And , low and behold... you're right. Psp did open up to edit the image. Never knew this. Ive had psp in the list from the start. Ya learn something new every day. However, Psp (if this prog is going to be used to edit tga. files) does have to be configuerd (associated)

"bitmap zip" is a condensed (or "zipped") version of your bitmap file you're trying to upload. To "zip" a file, you'll need a zipping application such as winzip or stuffit. You can download free or shareware versions off the internet. Once your file is uploaded to the site, they (the site) will "expand" the file back to its original size.

Symetrix Yes, PSP7 is associated with tga files, but the tga file format must be selected in preferences--->file association in you psp prog. Is it? Also, you say shell open is at the top of your list of editing apps in skin studio, but you don't mention if PSP is listed there. Is it? Both of these criteria mst be present for you to use PSP to edit tga files. Also, if PSP is your default, that should be at the top of the list.

Try Koasati's suggestion first. That should take care of your problem. If it does not, any chance you were using a purchased version of WB and now are using a shareware version? The new shareware version does not skin the scrollbars I understand. [Message Edited]

eznoh click on my username agin. I downloaded the skin. edited the taskbar button fonts and I had no problem. I changed the font to duchess font, size 16. If you're doing everything that koasati and I have suggested, then I just don't know what more to tell you.

Wow! U certainly posed a tough question to figure out! Im not giving up yet though. If youve done all the correct steps, ther'es no logical reason why your taskbar button fonts havent changed. I tied it myself on one of my skins and it worked like a charm. I am not at all familiar with windows 2000, so I don't know if this has anything to do with it or not. But I have another thought. The skin you are try to edit, is it in Uis or Uis2 format? You can find that out by looking at the skin

Need an admin please in WinCustomize Talk WinCustomize Forums

With the help of Davidk and IRbrainiac, I discovered there is a flaw in the files of my latest upload Caramel light. This flaw (I think) is whats giving some people trouble installing the skin. I am going to try renaming the skin Caramel_light so there are no spaces in the name, then I will rezip it. My question is, if I use the update feature will I retain my current comments, rate and dl count.? Or will it be like uploading a brand new skin due to the name change? If it's viewed as a new
