Citizen Jonathan Yao Just out of curiosty, in your WB config dialog under user overides , are font overides set at the defaults (no change)? And is this weird font showing up in any of your other apps?

WOW! PPl are suggesting doing a repair XP? That sounds pretty drastic. Besides I've used repair XP before and although it may fix the system files it doesnt always perserve all your apps. The apps may be there after the repair but some of them dont work. Another point, the repair option wont be available in setup if SP2 is intalled. A manual repair can always be done by logging into windows via a c: prompt, but then again you have to know what is w
One question first, cause this could make a difference. Is the XP machine running SP2? If the XP machine is not using SP2, then #1.. make sure the XP computer runs the network setup wizard (in the control panel) to identify itself on your network. While running the network setup wizard, make sure you turn on "file and print sharing" Once this is done #2 ..run "add new printer" and have it search for the network printer that you are sharing. If
Welcome back UzEE. Behave yourself
Skinner kona0197 Yes I have been gone alot. My freakin PC keeps going down. Lots of reformats. Time for a new one........if only I could afford one.
Citizen zecampos87 When your download goes into a temp file, WB is loading the skin for you. Watch your system tray. A second WB icon will appear. When it does, click on it and the skin will install.
How about trying a different screen resolution.
I dont use keyboard commands, but I would think that key combo would just open another instance of OE
Citizen boopish No problem UzEE........... is.....back.....!
Citizen boopish To blend in the shutdown flag that you have reduced to 1x1 pixel, do this: Say the upper right corner of you shutdown dialog is blue, use your color picker (in your paint program) to match that blue color, then use that color to fill the 1x1 pix graphic. Then "save" the graphic, and it should blend right in. Even if you dont match the color, It will show up only as a tiny dot, that unless it's a complete oppsite color, wont h
You should'nt have to unpack anything or name any folders. Let WB do it for you. Just Save the zip file to your \windowblinds folder, open up your WB dialog and "install from disk", scroll to the WB directory and click on the zip file you just downloaded, and the skin is now loaded-ready to install.
Sorry Master Apprentice causticFX, I didnt notice that you had suggested the 1x1 pixel thingy first. ( thats what I get for not reading the whole thread thoroughly) I take back the credit I gave to Super Wizop Fuzzy Logic and give it to you. . (just kidding fuzzy) Citizen boopish...glad you were able to get an answer..I"ll look forward to your skin. <img s
As Super Wizop Fuzzy Logic stated, reduce the logoff/shutdown flag to a 1x1 pixel graphic (in your paint program). If you blend the color in with the upper right section of your shutdown dialog, it wont show at all. If you dont blend it, it will show as a tiny dot, but most people wouldnt even notice it.
Cool website! Thanks for the link. My first OS was plain old dos (no GUI). I then progressed to Win 3.1. How drab 3.1 looks now! I'm now at WinXP Pro, and thinking about installing linux if I can ever get this dang computer to function properly.
The Rated PG see if he wants to give his phone number out. Oh yes, please do! I would like to talk to him. God bless him. My email address is Email
Has anyone heard from him? I've been thinking about him. I hope he's ok.
I didnt see this till after Mothers day, but thank you very much. Being a mother means the world to me. Ive done the best I can as a Mom, and I can only hope I've done a good job. I have a wonderful son and he has given me the most beautiful grandaughter a woman could want. 47songs- I'm here in Massachusetts too... Springfield. If you don't mind me asking, where are you in Mass.?
I would think you just add shutdown.exe (in c:\windows\system32) to the per applicatin exclusions in the WB dialog.
Paxx Im really sorry, but I have not been able to participate in beta testing your app. Been having computer problems. Better count me out. Sorry
I would be willing to test it.
I tried the link again but no cigar. Just do a google image search for "Zodiac" , and on page 5 youll see a snapshop of the skin which looks like it may have been Zodiacs desktop screenshot.
well sorry, the links didnt work. Probably because they are defunct. The link showed a snapshot of the skin in question assosciated with Zodiacs profile on WC
Link Link I dont kno
When I change a skin , AVG antivirus opens up. Weird!
Also, one other thing to consider is SP2. I had the darndest time setting up printer sharing over a network with SP2. I finally got it figured out, but the problem was SP2 because all was working well before SP2. Check the printers manufacturers website for any info/drivers/installation instructions pertaining to SP2.......spontaneous rebooting though....still sounds suspicious.
