Ok to get this forum going into the 300 post range we need to start on a new topic which people can disagree greatly with. Who would win in a fight, a vulcan gone crazy or a wookie? I'm assuming that this is a hand-to-hand fight. GO!

Ron, First of all, I was assuming that each religious/ethnic group would more or less be a monolithic block. That is not how things work in the US (with the exception that the vast majority of blacks are democrats rather than republicans). However, politicians do still occasionally use race to get votes even in the US. I have two instances. One was Harold Ford Jr.'s (a black man) congressional race in Tenesse was, at least in part, defeated due to a very racist television add (kind of l

The only problem with channeling the sunni, kurds, and shiite factions into democracy is that the shiites have about 60% of the Iraqi population. That is more than enough to crush the sunnis and kurds combined, and everyone knows this. That's why I think only the federalist structure with what essentially would be three domestically autonomus regions, but with linked foreign policy and oil wealth sharing (because otherwise the Sunni region, which has no oil, couldn't support itself). That way th

Will the final version require pixel shader 2.0 graphics card technology? The reason I ask is because that is the only Supreme Commander requirement I didn't have. I had ALL the others by far (even the recommended the specs my computer surpassed!). And then I learned that Best Buy wouldn't return games that had been opened (I didn't realize I lacked that requirement until I tried installing the game, it took me three hours to figure out which requirement I didn't have) <img src="http://images.st

I agree with you on Al Gore...as South Park put it in a show about electing a school mascot, the choice was between a douche and a shit sandwhich. Kerry was a loser too. I don't personally like Hillary and I think that 24-28 years of two families running this country back-to-back is not a good idea. I'd perfer Obama or Edwards (or really Biden, but he doesn't stand a snow ball's chance in hell). I can't say I'd really like any of the Republicans...but I'd go with Guliani out of that field. That

Its 12:05 where I am and I still haven't seen the 11 pm story about eetmorsprls's crushing lack of likability! Unless...you evil Imperial bastard! You meant 11 AM didn't you! As for the devs wanting the players to suffer...I'm fine with that. I'm probably not going to play the beta (at least until they let all the races be playable) so I'm going to be a vauled customer not a defenseless guinea pig who pre-ordered! I will enjoy seeing your sufferings on this forum! BWHAHAHA! <img src="h

Very true Karmashock, but it seems to me that much of what the government is doing now is bad. Very bad. These events are bigger than Bush, and in my opinion greater than Bush's ability to handle them. However, to avoid being completely negative, I do agree with the war in Afghanistan (though we could use more troops there), I do agree with the alliance the US, Austrailia, Japan, and India are begining to form (though the nuclear deal was pretty damn stupid), I do agree with fighting terrorism (

I know that none of the races are going to be saints, but which ever race is the MOST evil is my pick. The TEC probably aren't going to cut it cause they were pacifists ( ). The Advent has a legitimate grievance so their genocid

7th grade, Ms. Query's english class (and my homeroom) they turned on the TV and we saw the two towers on fire and smoking. I remember when the bell rang to get us out of class, a bunch of my classmates were running up and down the hall screaming "We're going to WAR!" They were young and didn't really know what that meant (hell, I hardly knew what it meant, just that my parents had gotten it in my head that war was bad). As a matter of fact, I actually got into an argument with a few classmates.

How small of turrets are we talking here? (I haven't played the beta show I have no clue) Are the frigates with turrets close to the equivalent size of Homeworld frigates? Because assualt frigate and support frigates had tracking turrets (though I never used assualt frigate...why when ion beam friagtes are so godly?). For those of you who didn't play homeworld...first of all shame on you. Second of all, frigates were basically minor capital ships and a frigate was about (correct me if I'm wrong)

TGE, I definitely agree with the message of the video (and its kind of funny ) but I'm afraid you might be opening up a can of worms and this could become the next "why the future doesn't need us post" (200+ posts and no agreement in sight! Its a quagmire! Its like the forum version of Iraq!)

I could definitely see where someone nit-picky and even perhaps a little OCD might complain. I've just been too busy saying "oooooh preeettttyyy" and drooling when I've seen Sins screenshots (I never played HW 2 so I guess I haven't been jaded by that). However, one questions...do GREEN stars actually exist in the galaxy? I noticed them first in Gal Civs 2 but I'm seeing them again in Sins. I know red, blue, yellow, orange, and even brown stars exist in the real universe...but green? Are you dev

I'm going to be El Presidente por vida de Terra (President for life of Earth), and when I achieve said power...EVERYTHING WILL BE METRIC. Tweleve inches per foot, three feet per yard, 5280 feet per mile?! And then there is volumetric measuring! 8 ounces (which is abreviated oz?!) per cup, 2 cups per pint, 2 pints per quart, 4 quarts per gallon?! Whoever invented that system was sadistic towards the poor students who would have to learn this crap. My second act as El Presidente por vida de Terra.

Not going to add tracking turrets? The turrets are going to fire radically off-bore or the ship itself will have to turn to shoot with TURRETS? Homeworld had tracking turrets and it is now like, what 8-9 years old? It can't be that hard (and now I will get crucified by the people who actually know about programming )

If alcohol damages brain development, then why aren't nations with lower drinking ages stupider? Furthermore, while I don't have any studies to back me up that I know of, I haven't noticed people who abstained from drinking alcohol (myself included) are any more mentally stable or intellegent. Besides, I might point out that joining the military during a war has a nery significant potential negative impact on a person's health and we still allow 18 year olds to join the military whether a war is
