Umm, I have to say the Yor when I played them seemed to have a very strong economy, maybe because I researched the efficiency line fairly early on and set tax very high because the Yor tend to have pretty good morale, they also have a great manufacturing base.

I don't understand this is crazy it's just not appearing for me at all the version reads 0.91(b).001 no matter how much I refresh.

Guys, I'm in the UK and have been waiting up for this release but I'm still only seeing 3b, how come you guys can download 3c. I've refreshed and checked for updates many times in the last 5 minutes and nothing.

Why can I not see version 3c on stardoc, my version is still showing 3b their doesn't seem to be an update yet. I'm in the UK by the way been waiting up for this.

"If everything (including sub-atomic particles) were made by the introduction of Telenanth to the singularity force of the universe - it would not be 'again'. Even the sub-atomic particles would be gone." Hydrogen and Helium existed before it was used so subatomic particles obviously did existed but for some reason their bonding potential was not the same.

I could see the Korax being bought back as mercenaries for hire in GCIII rather than a major race with their own worlds

Considering GCII:DA is a turn based game, (which is generally thought of as out of fashion), and is not even on sale in the shops outside the US I think it's done stunningly well to be number 3. And to think I almost missed it, found a copy of GCII in the bargin bin at HMV Oxford Street, and downloaded all the rest. So pleased I found this game, can't commend it enough.

So it sounds like the Drath and Altarians tech trees are going to be all about learning to manipulate these "Magical" energies. Sounds great can't wait.
Hmm. It seems the Stardock client isn't acknowledging that there is an update - my TA is still beta 3a. =/ Any fixes? I've refreshed XML, changed severs and restarted Stardock.
Do you have the pre-release checkbox ticked at the bottom of stardock, although I think without it you'd have version 0.8b or something.

The problem is you don't have the show beta's or whatever check box ticked in you star doc interface, so your trying to download the old version (I think the first beta) of Twilight which isn't there any more. Check the show pre-release box at the bottom of the screen, refresh stardoc then click install, you should notice the version number is different. I got stuck with the same problem for ages until I realised this. For some reason an old version of the beta shows up even wi

Absolutely it’s a Beta so any off us playing it expect to find a lot of bugs and have a duty to report them. That doesn’t mean we don’t realise what a great, deep and difficult to balance addition to the game the unique racial technologies, components and buildings are. Not to mention all the other improvements coming including editors and Invasion screen improvements. Stardock never cease to amaze me with the quality of their work, the on going improvements they make to their

It would be good there too, the point is once you code it it's a re-usable asset that could be applied to all sorts of games which is why it could be a worthwhile investment. You just need to include parts suitable to the game and decide which animations you need it to be able to generate. then how you use those animations in a game is up to the game, it could be for little ad-hoc movies of your race in GC3 or for animating characters in gameplay in a fantasy TBS. I actually th

Tao or Dao, is exactly what I thought of when hearing the phrase 'The Way'. But I can see that many real world religions would refer to their teachings as 'The Way' and Taoism is just an interest of mine so I know a lot about it. It’s kind of integral to a religious view point that you believe you have knowledge of the correct 'Way' of living and that people with other beliefs don't and could benefit from being shown ‘The Way’ so to speak. Out of interest what was the actual wo

Indeed I know developing a spore like editor is far from easy or quick, but of course once you did you could use it in all sorts of future games so the investment could be worth it. That’s why I don’t suggest it for a GC2 add on. I also think that the cost of development will come down in the future as people in the industry start becoming familiar with the techniques involved and GC3 is probably still a long way off.
Thanks for your help ! I'll download it from stardock, and package it out somehow ! Thanks Again Ps. i quite like the look of GalCiv II myself, being an old MOO and MOO2 player
I loved Moo and Moo2 and was really sad when Moo3 turned out to be so bad. But GC2 has saved the day for me if y

First of all Galactic Civilization 2 is great and TA looks like it will make it even better. But one issue this sort of game has always had is making a visually distinct custom race, complete with diplomatic animations, etc is beyond the scope of most users requiring 3D rendering software. Also Galactic Civilization 2 doesn’t show you a scientist of your race when presenting technology which would be nice. As would some more personalized invasion movies, etc. Obviously though Stardoc ha

I do agree I think it would be interesting to see a more thematic super ability. Maybe supper cheerful or something along those lines. Although now I come to think about it supper spy does fit well after all they may have followers of all races who can easily blend in to those other cultures and gain positions of power. Also since their own people would have a tendency to be very loyal to the cause that would explain why they are so good at defensive spying.

I think there are a few technologies like this which should clearly not be trade able but seem to be at the moment. Maybe a review of them is in order. Am I right that a non-tradeable technology should not be available to steal or gain when taking over a planet either?

I agree with the OP sometimes being good should have the benefit, it's always seemed strange to me that the eveil option is always best.

In evolutionary terms to compare Galactic Civilization to Galactic Civilization II is like comparing an early amphibian to a Human. It is more fun and sophisticated in every way and the expansions to GC2 mean it’s still continuing to evolve, by far the best 4X space strategy game to date and the latest expansion due out in January is going to transform the game further giving all races their own tech tree, improvements, etc. Did I mention unlike GC1 you can design your own sh

Under Victory conditions the total conquest condition test is missing, giving a missing text type error. When playing as the Korath clan; The Ion Cannons do not appear as ship components after I have researched any of the Ion Cannon Technology. Also Slave Imagining pits always appear on the list of things to build even once you have research centres.
