I seriously doubt it was a hardware problem seeing as everything is pretty much brand spanking new and it's been working perfectly since I reinstalled Vista. I suppose I can't rule that out for sure, however. I run antivirus so I doubt it was a virus but, then again, stranger things have happened. I have a feeling I'll never know what really happened. I've been a long time user of WB but I've been taking a break from using it for a few months. I just wanted the plain old Vista style for a while. Well, the night before last I decided to re-install WB having just renewed my Object Desktop subscription for another year. Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction regarding Smartguard. I've got 2 SATA drives in my brand new system and they are both SMART capable and, in fact, I've enabled SMART in my system BIOS instead of just leaving it on AUTO. The problem is that no information shows up in the Smartguard section within TweakVista. Help me Obi-wan, your my only hope! Thanks in advance (I hope), Jeff Picard
