congrats grayhaze! =)
jark
congrats everyone. one discrepancy: LOS by Alexandrie represents deviantART, not LOS.
when will week 4 winners be announced (the ones that we just voted on)?
congrats to everyone! =)
uh...these all look like the same skins from the february skin pack that was on OD. is there something that i am missing here? reason i know this is because i was using cobalt, which is the first skin listed, because it rocks. the rest, as well, are all in the pack and are nothing new for march.
congrats to everyone who received a medal in this round, and to all participants.
arleetec: you found us out!
treetog: rofl craeonics: art and "art" is basically the same, though i would not use the word "steal" for the ideas.
After several months planning, the first issue of deviantMAG is finally available to the public! Our goal is to reach beyond the familiar green background that we've grown so fond of and to bring the professional and technical aspects of the art closer to ourselves and to our readers. Visit deviantMAG.com and take a look!
Frogboy: send your interactivity over to deviantART
WinStep Technologies has created one of the most popular skinnable shareware applications to date with NextSTART. Ever wonder why their website resides at winstep.net rather than the more popular, and famed, .com suffix? I spoke with the one-man army behind WinStep, Jorge Coelho, at length today in what was, basically, a plea for help. A call-to-arms, so to speak, to help spread the word of the evil extortionist scheme that he has been intertwined in, no thanks to some unfaithful cybe
what site is it?
they had stolen the deviantART emoticons. had to tell them to stop, and they did, though they were very rude about it.
>These replacement logonui's have become >quite popular. But because they it requires >using a resource hacker, most casual users >and artists have not really been comfortable >using it. uh .. no. this is just incorrect brad, sorry. an application that handles loginui's already exists right here: http://software.deviantart.com/details.php?id=240. it is one of the most popular programs around these days and is in probably the fastest growing section of customization lately
ripping is stealing artwork, plain and simple. if you are interested in using someone elses graphics then you must contact them _prior_ to doing so and must obtain permission. you should include said permission in a readme.txt and/or in the description.
speaking of hanukah, where is the theme to match the christmas one?
well, the point is for WC to support the popular applications. trillian is, by far, not anywhere as near as popular as the applications that you currently hold. i would suggest that you just run the site as is and allow those few folks to continue to whine about stardock being a "tool." if they do not want to take the time to understand the situation then, realistically, do you think that by adding 2 or 3 more sections will change their minds? personally, i believe that WC is d
we are supposed to have one, yes, but when you're the "king of the hill" like stardock then you can do anything. (no harm meant with said statement)
we continue to get beat up for reasons that folks like to beat deviantART up for but that does not mean we allow people to dictate how we run the site. if there truly is a bandwidth issue, which there must be because from my end the site is as slow as deviantART was prior to solving our bandwidth issues, then adding new sections that will surely make the site more popular will serve to do nothing other than compound an already intense issue. my $0.02: leave the new sections out until yo
personally, brad, i think deviantART and skinbase are doing a fine job of hosting Trillian skins. until skinning Trillian becomes as mainstream as skinning WindowBlinds or NextSTART, etc..., I think you should not consider adding it. after all, what would the point be, other than to pull more traffic to a site that you already say gets too much traffic?
70+ skins: http://www.deviantart.com/browse/?section=trillian 7 skins: http://www.deviantart.com/browse/?section=trillianzsz
nice to see that they did their homework on the truly available sites for downloading these things.
people are making them, just not submitting them here. here's some: http://www.deviantart.com/browse/?section=wathree ... kinwashi submitted his latest version of probe, one of the top WA3 skins released to date. might just check it out if you're at all interested.
that, brad, sounds like an issue that is quite easily remedied.
definitely seems faster though i am not noticing as much of an increase as i would have thought. the pages seem like they are still taking a while to parse and process.
