i really enjoy this mod but im still getting crashes involving the pirates when they get to higher levels. Every time i try to mod the pirates in any way the game just doesnt want to do it. Other than the pirate crash this is a very good mod.

just wanted to say i think lowering the gfx to "high" seems to help a lot. At least my framrate was higher (8 player map with 60 or so planets). Just finished a game..well ok i was wiped out, but it didnt crash once even with pirates going crazy. Ill keep ya posted if i experience anymore. I really enjoy this mod, hope you continue to work on it. I think next round ill have the ai all against me, just because i like to die a lot (apparently..bah) V
i can run mine for several hours without a ctd/dump. Im testing some info i found in the mods' threads about lowering the texture qualities to high or medium to see if that helps. Might give that a shot just to see if it helps.

Ok it just crashed right after pirates launched on the "severe" setting/mode whatever its called. Ill lower the gfx settings and see if that helps.

is it normal to have a lot of minidump/crashes using mods. I get a crash every single time i use this mod. Seems to be random crashes no matter what im doing. I just installed sins/entrenchment patched it up and then threw in the 0.6 mod. ill check to see if im doing something silly but i thont think i am.
Ok 1st off i did use the search feature. Found out a lot of info but not quite what i needed. So i pressed the dreaded create post. No killing me...yet. OS: Vista 64 home basic vid card: Nvidia 8800gts allright hers my issue. I use a scott HDTV lct32sha for a monitor using a DVI to vga converter. I set up a custom resolution to 1366x768. arcath, not to sound crazy here but seeing how you have a fresh install, have you tried to disable un needed services? sometimes these service features cause all kinds of chaos. If none of that helps, what firewall are you running? I used to use Comodo but that gave me all kinds of fits with some games. i really wish someone would come up with an PC OS strictly for gaming. That way manufacturers would have a consistant base to code with/from instead of having to fight registry issues,
id say your best bet is to talk to the manager of the store you purchased the game from. Other than that, id say your out of luck. The way piracy is nowdays and how fearfull retailers are you are stuck with it. Ebay would be a good way to sell it, that is if you can get stardock to release the serial. You can also use those used game stores, however many games are not accepted by them. Dont expect anything close to your full amount though.
i use a dual core 3ghz cpu setup and an single 8800 graphics card. Demigod runs fine and usually its well over 30fps on max settings. I hope GPG/stardock continues to update and starts to add new content soon. Its an addicting game, course my online time is terrible. Few times ive tried i get owned..but at least there isnt teabagging [e digicons];P[/e]
i like sword of the stars, the only negative thing i can say is the "voice" acting drives me nuts. That can be fixed with the audio controls though. Its not near the micro and chaos of Moo, but ya still get some good sized fleets, in nice 3D and such.
spore was very over hyped. I had very high expectations. good things though, the char/creature creator is quite an accomplishment. Im not a good animator or modeler (lightwave) but the set of tools and provided parts sure made it easy to create things. However the game part really was disapointing. id pay 100 for a game that was based on the Moo3 concepts except be in real time, 3D and actually include planet killers and world builders (from space dust and equipment) I usually enjoy space shooters and such but for me its so much more fun for me knowing i control hundreds upon hundreds even thousands of ships and millions of troops, and then putting them to evil use conquering the universe. the cheats sure do create chaos though, the fight really gets tough when all the players have top end equipment. Its very fun though :) edit: they only work in tournament mode just fyi.
they could implement different "parts" for a class of demigod. Such as different arms or shoulders. heck they could even implement a paint scheme like in the DOW series. never know what will happen though, maybe it will be an option in the future.
meh something could be done. in coh theres a color fill type option when your units are behind solid objects. Maybe while playing the Rook gpg/stardock could add in an option to have other creatures/players use that color fill when the game detects your toon or toons are blocking the view of an opponent. Pirates may have grabbed the game but i thought they couldnt play on official servers, get updates and or extra content. So does that mean stardock or GPG dropped the ball on serial/login checks and such or is it strictly for activation so you can execute the game? While i dont understand GOO i remember the ole secur rom really messing with one of my older systems. you think this game is bad? you should have tried the ole doom 2 via a serial cable and the crazy 16555..somethin uart and.... Oh heck sorry i went too far back *cough*.... er my point it things will get fixed, gpg and stardock have issues now and then but i have faith in them, they will fix it eventually. so far i havnt even tried the MP part, i keep becoming the owned one with AI's. cant imagine how fast id die online lol. ehh games are not like they used to be, and maybe they shouldnt be. In the past i could spend hours upon hours playing TA, or Moo2 but nowdays im too busy keeping bills paid and such to spend more than a few hours gaming a week. I myself dont see the releases as a bad trend, micro expansions and content released to "purchased" copies more or less to reward people for buying the game instead of using the pie rat method seems ok. I do have some issues with one thing or another.
