It came out on the 24th here in Australia. About time we get a release before you yanks. ;) I've played it and I'd have to say its one of the better Mario Karts in recent times. Although I will admit that Mario Kart 64 is still superior when it comes to how the items worked. For example, the homing red koopa shells would only home in indefinately regardless of where you were on the track if you were in 5th or lower place. If you were in the top 4 you could only get someone with

Very impressive Brad! I look forward to purchasing it. I guess the only feature he has yet to really show here is the new music tracks. :D
I've never been one for serious racing games. I guess its mainly because its hard to enjoy them using a keyboard on a PC, and the console systems I own are all Nintendo which means I don't really have a chance to play them there either. Then for some reason I had the desire to try and play some more racing games. Starting with Trackmania Nations Forever, I soon desired to try something a little more realistic. Soon after purchasing my X360 wireless controller for windows (since I had
WWW LinkWill answer many of you're AI problems
True that Warnstaff, I should have mentioned your modding efforts as I knew about them. Only thing is while your mod does fix alot of the issues, there are still some really annoying underlying quirks with the AI in Company of Heroes that just can't be fixed short of some engine edits. They still struggle to properly utilise alot of the gameplay utilise
To be truthfully honest, I don't really see myself using such a system with Sins. I only really get into match-making in games which are suited to 1v1 (of which Sins is not due to the fact much of the appeal of the game comes from its epicness which can't be had in a 1v1 environment). I guess I'm more of a 1v1 guy if it comes down to a competitive game. However I'd definately use it with something like Demigod. :)
Great minds think alike: http://phazon.joeuser.com/article/308626/Trackmania_Nations_Forever_-_awesome_game :HOT:
I want to see Sins of a Solar Empire on the Commodore 64. Come on Ironclad and Stardock, you're missing out on a huge demographic here. ;)
Well being an arcade style racing game, this game fairs fine with the keyboard controls. Although a gamepad could just as easily be used with the same success.

The improvements brought by the new release of Trackmania Nations Forever have been patched into Trackmania United (which is called Trackmania United Forever). This patch allows Trackmania United owners to play with Trackmania Nations owners on the Stadium environment (which is the only environment available to Trackmania Nations Forever users). As you might expect, people who own Trackmania United Forever have some nice perks including the ability to use custom avatars and be able to
Recently I noticed that there was a new release for Trackmania Nations (the free version of Trackmania that people all over the world play). This new version is supposedly new and improved, and integrates Trackmania United (the retail release) and Trackmania Nations (the free release) into one. First of all, you might ask what is this game? Trackmania is a game that involves you driving cars on surreal tracks (kinda like slot car racing except you can steer). Your car travels qu
Yeah Academy was a great game. Grip level 3 for the win, you could throw people around with that.

Because this is my blog and I can post what I feel like. ;) We have already petitioned Relic heavily to improve the AI (especially during the big beta test held for 2.300 not to long ago) but they really didn't do much to address the issue.
I have the game running at all high at 1650x1050 on a E6850 CPU + ATI HD3850. I have a PCI-E 2.0 bus, I wonder if that has been helping somewhat.
Lately something has been bothering me immensly with Company of Heroes (expansion Opposing Fronts included). What is wrong you might ask? Well as you probably already know, Company of Heroes is a real-time strategy game set in WWII developed by Relic Entertainment. It features highly-realistic graphics and some really nice tactica
Very interesting stuff. Look forward to your future articles. :)
I agree on alot of this. I hope that 1.1 addresses the most pressing of these issues (although I think its unrealistic to expect it to cover all of them in a single patch). I hope they change the XP distribution to not be split as well in 1.1, that alone would be a nice buff to caps.
DX10 was never supported by SupCom. The game was hard enough to run as is.
There used to be an RSS feed a couple of weeks back, but its mysteriously disappeared. :(
Phason: I like the way you put all the game shortcuts on the left and the programs on the right.
Really? I always do it like that. Left side = fun, right side = serious business (most of the time).

I actually cleaned up mine today. It was a mess, I have a nasty habit of downloading files to my desktop (because I'm too lazy to navigate through folders) and it just piled up. Now its reasonably clean: By the way Brad, thats a pret
