Why keep the player out of interaction, making decisions, and being engaged for that long?
Exactly. I can't think of any other similar games that do that. Even the battlefield games let you screw around on the map picking spawns and kits.

Good idea, I forgot that ability completely, but it may be handled differently, so only a negative answer will tell for sure.
i also am not getting very high fps with my video card which is a nvidia 6200 i realize this is on the old side but i was (and still am hoping) that the game will be able to run smoothly at some point on my computer. my ram and cpu are no problem. otherwise though except the bugs ppl have mentioned i have enjoyed the beta so far
That's a very low end card if it really is a 6200. I think that with some more optimization it should run more smoothly, but I have noticed th
That's plenty, I think. Nice computer, BTW. Have you had any luck (misfortune) getting it to repeat/noticed an event that seemed to trigger it?
If they removed this ability and changed it to another sniping ability then he would be played only one way. I hope they do not do that.
Exactly. I see the wings as an ability on the other end from sniping. Much more of a techie approach. Lay a ton of heavily upgraded mines, lure enemies to you and hit the wings if you didn't lay enough. This is in contrast to the sniper with stat boosts for durability or the sniper with heavy mines to avoid getting overrrun. All three
Recepies are not needed, if the standart Items are well balanced/priced etc.
I think that the idea of upgrading the items along a tree has a lot of promise, because it can be applied to any item and works more organically. It would also let you get a good selection and progression quickly and easily.
# Torchbearer can toggle between ice and fire at will. # Deep Freeze at higher levels adds a movement and attack speed slow. # Permafrost has an additional level, which adds an aura based mana regeneration. # Rain of Fire has been removed to make room for Frozen Heart(How you transition back to ice mode) # Fire Aura has an additional leve, which adds an fire based dot to the Torch Bearers attacks. # Ring of Fire has been changed to Circle of Fire and is targete
but against real players this could be one of the bigger parts of the game: Fights about Portals / Mines etc.
Especially if the map has more opportunities to capture mines outside your base. That should make things a lot more interesting, and should show up in beta 2.
Yeah, there's a ton of ideas in one of the threads innociv and I were bouncing ideas back and forth in. It was in Demigod Ideas, IIRC. Here it is: http://forums.demigodthegame.com/323330 The responses have a bunch of ideas.
Xthetenth, its just the diffrence between Tactic + Strategy. Dota is more the first, while Demigod is the latter. Or at least its my PoV from what we can see until now.
Yeah, fair enough. I tend to like the strategy end of things. Sorry if I was letting it cloud my judgement on the sarcastic dick part (I'm really sorry about that, I just had a backlog of vitriol), but I don't think that changes my point about scale for this game. I like the way the scale fits the unit s
They will. Tyo's going through the UI suggestion threads right now, so he's seeing the best ideas we can come up with right now. Don't worry, they'll be a lot better for beta 2.
Working my way through threads. This is great feedback and we'll be incorporating it into the next build.
Thanks [e digicons][/e] .
I'd say.. let the Players choose. Create a Keysetting menu, where you can set the keybindings to your abilities/consumable etc. by yourself and everyone is happy
Absolutely, but getting good defaults for most people is still important.
Oh, please God no, unless it's a settable, becaus
Hmm, that's very odd. I really don't know what could cause that.
Well, the templar of doom is getting a post now [Name]: Herald of death [Type]: Assassin [Theme]: Large evil looking knight in black armor and a shapeshifting sword. [Skill Type]: Can charge with a lance for huge damage and knockback, but the shorter the runup, the lower the damage (IE the closer to the maximum range, the more damage it does). Can sweep through creeps with a scythe and hi
WOW! Thanks guys.
Welcome. It's your fault for making such a good backbone that stripping it down and having a few annoyances couldn't ruin the fun, though.
Having trouble waiting for phase2 though. I imagine it's going to be much much more playable.
Same, I can't wait, it's gonna be awesome. I'm also itching to see the quick impulse updates in action.
# Innociv- unless you seem me quoted, be skeptical :) # i was because it was too stupid of a thing for you too include
I love that bit. [e digicons][/e] I also think the idea you put up in that thread is the way to go. I would like to see a little more opportunity to cross sections in it, though, choosing two levels of upgrades at once is annoying and takes the fun out of choosing at the third level.
Me too, actually. Just happened to me. Finally a bug I can report! Stardock didn't give me my share of bugs! [e digicons][/e]
No NDA. The idea is that if we're not doing a good job, you're free to flame us publicly.
This, everybody is why frogboy is my personal hero. I also like dragunol a lot for the same reason [e digicons][/e] . Seriously, once I get out of college, I will consider moving to minnesota just to apply for a job.
you guys should get the x-fire people to add the beta in their next update, then those who don't want to pay for fraps
Posting it on GameReplays too would be good so there's a one-stop shop for info. Sins not having that really hurt it in the first few months.
There'll be exporters before we're done. They just don't want our mods causing bugs to distract from their bugs.
Yeah, there's been no announcement to the contrary, and although kryo is neither fat nor a lady, he needs to sing for it to be over. [e digicons][/e]
Yep, exactly. They probably don't want to make the alternate forms for an art asset they're almost sure they won't use, and it makes a lot of sense to me.
Actually i have the only mobo ever made that is socket 478 with pci e16
You lucky bastard! Good job! I have an 8800 gt, and it's made of win for the price. There's a reason it's also the 9800 GT (check the evga facts sheets, it's pretty funny, they're the same card), and the GTX 200 series doesn't have a low end card yet, so it's still one of the best cards you can get and is surprisingly cheap.
Yeah anything you would like to make would be great! I would suggest posting it on www.Demigodguru.com though, it'll be better if we get all the content hosted in a single spot.
Yeah, If I write anything I'm posting it there. There's a reason I offered to help you directly [e digicons][/e] Sins was definitely hurt by lack of a comprehensive one-stop shop for info at release.
I wonder if they're through all the keys yet. I'd think they are. It'd be good to confirm with sales, though.
