Yep, sorry, I'll get to work soonish or post some of the stuff on modcraft so we can get some feedback. :p

Have you ever seen a fully kitted blood angels command squad with librarian in action? sure, it's easily 500 points, but if your enemy leaves anything in their assault range, it's toast. Up to 8 librarian force weapon attacks... that's a lot of carnage, though you want to try to assault two squads at once so they don't get shot in the enemy's turn.
bullet magnets are the ones with the save? I still can't get over the time I took down three space marines on the charge with three kroot, and the force commander didn't kill any of them. That rocked :CONGRAT:. Plus, kroot are awesome in cityfight with tau on the upper floors.
It's why the Imperial Guard exists.
People: the newest model of ablative armor for your tanks! Thrawn, please send pics (preferably focused)
But in general, manpower is cheaper than technology, it's why massive guns are reloaded and run out with massive crews of ratings and other fun things.
Because they want to have something left when they're done. Either they want the planet, and they'll send in ground troops, or they'll toast the planet and nukes aren't enough for that. They have stuff so much nastier than nukes that nukes are kind of obsolete.
Right, we're using advent/kol beams for lances, and that's what i'm talking about. I was thinking orange for normal lances, almost white for pulsars, and advent blue for tau ion cannons. Just talking about changing the color of the halo. The paint is summoned forth from the miasma of plot, and it's just the palette I used, anyway.
I like the airbrushy snake pliskin looking guy in the bottom left for entirely non-sins reasons!
Thrawn, my IN colors aren't exactly standard either, basically black templars colors. White prow, black hull, gold trim, and red details (explanation is that it's a Segmentum solar, which IIRC uses black for their hull, fleet with close ties to mars, so it has red details), and my chaos fleet is heavily converted to be extra tzeentchy, but I have no idea how to paint it other than making the towers silver. Inert, how would a beam as wide as an escort is long coming out of each megacanno
My i-i-internet is s-st-stuttering, s-s-sorry
The reason is to get games for windows certification, and yes it's moronic, it's microsoft! (slogan trademark Microsoft from the ME era). anyway, it's in C:\Documents and Settings\YOURUSERNAMEHERE\Local Settings\Application Data\Ironclad Games. unless you're running vista, then ask somebody else, but it should be accessible from the games list thingy or something.
Don't make fun of its stutter please, it's embarassing enough as it is. Also, we've got a lot of very well developed ideas on super ships and other fun things on our modcraft forum, which I might decide to distill into teasers if I get the time. ;)
Yeah, it's not that hard to deal with, but I hope we can integrate it into sins to make it easier to deal with.
Fandangdo, that sounds like a really good way to make a bridged multiplayer campaign, that'd be really neat if guys could have connected games in that way.
well i dont really mean win conditions, more like other methods of defeating ur enemy eg: pay another empire to do your fighting for u
put a lot of bounty on him. If there's 300k credits on his head everybody'll want part of the pie.
It doesn't take full advantage of 2 cores. EDIT: Oops, annatar beat me. :p
That looks awesome. I'm not sure how to make the unified campaign work, but if they work, it'll be great.
you have to be viewing hidden folders, and somebody with more time will tell you how to do it if you can't figure it out. I presume you're running XP from the directory?
that'd be nice, the beta freezes too often on my laptop, but I wants my mod tools!
Well, if we can do it the way everybody wants to, invasion will be the mainstay of the battlefleet gothic mod, seeing as it is the warhammer 40k universe. We'll be using a rather figety version that makes heavy use of supply lines, as it'll be a more tactically oriented mod. Planets will have orbital troop training facilities, which can fill transport ships with troops. Infrastructure will be rebranded to defenses, and represent the garrison strength. Landing troops will erode the defense
yeah, i'd love to get to work filling in your value added column :CONGRAT:, that'd be great.
Excellent, glad to hear it. :D
That's one screwed up nutshell.
and the meat of the nut isn't tasty either. :p . eew.
Implementing the really good stuff (I.E. rotating turrets) for some guys and not others, would really be weird and not really work in large games, but yeah, higher res textures would be fun for those of us who like playing with 5 square feet of monitor. Still, it was a deliberate decision to not pound on cpus any more than necessary with added turrets. While a core 2 can pull the workload, I don't want to be playing at 3 fps because some poor bastard wants to play with his P4 and he has to have
There's a subpanel in the research screen for researching fleet capacity techs, I think it's third from the top and the relevant ones are on the bottom row. Hope this helps!
