one way might to make a set of gateway techs that have enormous costs, but the first is at a severe discount, or the first makes the prices get a discount of about -1000000000 percent.
Okay, glad to hear it, is there any timeframe for the mod stuff? (I promise this is the last time I'll hijack one of these threads, I promise)
sounds awesome, but where do the mod tools fit in?
Great game. Wish we'd gotten mod tools before the patch. But that's just because i'm so obsessed with how awesome the possibilities are, and i'm mouthing the advent chatter along with it, so I fear for my sanity (getting the random ones took some practice) :CONGRAT: Besides, not failing school is a good thing on its own
Have any of you played Star Wars: Rebellion? It's my favorite Star Wars game, and I think is one of the best RTS's of all time.
Still do, that game taught me a lot of how to play strategy games. The abstraction was well done, intuitive but deep, but the graphics sucked so much I bought force commander... bad move :NOTSURE:. And yeah, we're having the same problems with technical limitations over at the battlefleet gothic mod, just stuck waiting for the tools. I s
yes, the ships should be alarmingly phallic, but not do any damage, because otherwise it would be too easy to win with ships.
I agree completely with the OP, but I have also been defeated by people with many more planets. clearly those are major league imba too, could somebody remove those too? Also, it's too hard to win when the other guy has more money, that should be fixed so not having money doesn't make it harder to win. thnx guyz.
I don't want to imagine the sum you've already lost due to piracy. The PC would be a much more liked gaming device if there were a copy protection that couldn't be cracked.
No unbreakable copy protection exists for anything in the history of the digital world that was popular enough to warrant buying. I know people who have modded consoles of every kind, and piracy of those is getting worse. The only advantage is that the companies know the hardware and don't have to gene
i wants my modmaking tools so we can make a total conversion for you guys to file in your 'added value' section! ;) can't wait to try it out.
Baby #3 is out, time to get cranking on #4
give them powerthirst! they'll have 400 babies!
it's penny arcade. There are quite a few tribute webcomics out there (Order of the Stick and XKCD among others)
Thank you. :) I'm glad our work is already appreciated.
yeah, I honestly can't wait! Oh, right, yeah, i'm doing it, so I can't wait till we release...? something like it. We've already got a lot of good work in, and i just hope everything is as good as inert's work. Can't wait till we get the full modding package and see what can be done.
oh, yeah, the eagle head. just the extra touch of imperial fanciness on the space cathedral cake. and you do not wish we'd done nids. somewhere between the eating anims and the fact that there are no regular shapes on the bloody things they just aren't a good idea. plus, the imperial ships are modular, so once you're done with the cruiser, you just need to replace the weapons batteries with lances and/or launch bays to get the different variants. and that is one nice looking eagle on th
awesome and so true, except i haven't gotten my playboy model yet :d or maybe its more like ;p
Sins of a Solar Empire is a big, audacious game that succeeds so profoundly that it deserves to be on every strategy gamer's PC, and warrants attention from those who might ordinarily run a mile from real-time or turn-based gaming. It's a wee bit early to be declaring PC Strategy Game of the Year, particularly since Starcraft 2 is waiting in the wings, but it speaks volumes that Blizzard's monster is going to have to be something really special if it wants to be anything other than s
Wow another Irish player lol.First time ive heard anyone from Ireland on this forum, well far as i know anyway, what part of Dublin you from? Anyone else from Ireland? Does the fact that my ancestors were from there about 300+ years ago count?
yea, same for that except more like 120 or so New York City FTW!!! The city that never sleeps... it's the caffeine, i tell ya. To be exact, downtown, where the girls are pretty and all the guys other than me like guy
anybody good with photoshop or anything else that can be used to make textures is so incredibly welcome it's not funny. also, another fluff nerd to bounce ideas off of is a great thing to have. check out/join our group at our modcraft fourm if you haven't already: [link="http://www.modcraft.net/community/index.php?showforum=739"]WWW Link[/link]
i think he was referring to our initial roster of three, but that's just the first group, it'll have all the races with fleets (including the Adeptus Mechanicus most likely) by the time we're done, but we just want to get something done first.
hmmm, those old tau would probably be very useful, i can't get any reference pics for them, but the imperial ships are pretty common, so we shouldn't need the info, but i'll leave it to inert to decide. Thanks a ton for the support :CONGRAT:
cruise ships tend to give the higher paying passengers better views, and considering the manual says it's carrying civilians who basically insisted on it being like a cruise ship it looks better and makes more sense the way it is. plus, it looks its part.
doesn't work with touch pads. period. i know it's annoying, but i have an easier time playing on my laptop because the vb zoom is so much smoother than the rachety mouse wheel that it obviates arrow keys for pan, which allows me to use the hotkeys much more easily than if i were to use the wheel
I notice you have the EXACT same resources in the last two pictures. shouldn't that be technically impossible since the resources are constantly updating?
dev skills. don't question them. this guy got a carrier out of my system one time with 14 hp of hull left. His timing is godly ;)
mod tools please!
looks hot, anybody want an early piece of this action? ./shill
