bump Just wondering if anyone is still working on this. I haven't played the game for awhile since you kind of have to make your own ships because the defaults are underpowered.
It happens everytime. Those altarian ship bugs you talked about, in my save game I was against them. First thing I tried was making ships on Dread Lords, which I had never played before since I was just playing Dark Avatar. Ships saved, displayed in the preview box on the right, and upgraded fine. No, it happened before the patch and then I tested it again after patching.
Right click the file and choose "open with". Scroll through the list and pick notepad. Most log files for any program can be opened and read in a similar way.

I'm making my own custom race but it won't save my designs right. For ship designs, when I upgrade them, the fuctional components in the builder from the previous ship version aren't put on the ship. They appear on the horizontal list at the top in the builder, but nothing is placed on the ship. Not sure if this is supposed to be this way or not. I have the option to keep them when upgrading and not to remove them checked. Ship designs aren't so bad because I can just remove an
